There aren't the same points/upgrades/weapons system, so it would be non-transferable. We also wouldn't want players to have a massive advantage right from the start, so everyone will start afresh.April Fools?

To all the people who I have subtly lied to about this for the past while - I am sorry. :) But now I am relieved! It is by a far a very unique server and I cannot wait for people to see it.
However, as awesome as this news is, I'd also like to remind everyone of the other news presented: Alkatraz and KingSam's resignations. These two have been apart of this community for a long time. They've also been with TNT for a long time and since then, they helped improve it, shape it to what it was, and made it an extremely enjoyable experience when staffing. So all the hard work they put into TNT will not be forgotten but rather always appreciated because they're just so amazing. :) A big thank-you to them.

Naw, it's a shame that the megabyte of text i've probably typed for the classic TNT wars in terms of scripts (seriously, I should get some of them) won't be necessary anymore.
I've been waiting for this announcement for a little while. Although I wasn't involved in much testing, what I saw was brilliant and I'm looking forward to its release.
While I had my doubts in the past, the drop in player count across most Classic servers has provided the impetus for me to look into it further. The mechanics may have changed, but I think it's a necessary step for the idea and community to move forwards.
The second part of the news is sad, but to follow on from Sparkly's comments: the friendliness wasn't just an image presented to players. Both Alkatraz and KingSam have been excellent examples, taking the lead and pushing the server forwards. When KingSam was first given HC, we had a dozen maps and a server which was rough around the edges. Thanks to both their efforts and destroyerx1's help, the TNT Wars became the polished server we see today.

Been looking forward to this for a while! The announcement that is. The server is a tonne of fun, a little crazy but still loads of fun! Can't wait till the players start flooding in!
