Guardian of Fauna

Tora was nursing Tadashi when a small fox walked over to her and barked at her. The group of people greeting her was getting larger, ' Ok Tora just be confident no need to show them you have no idea what your doing..' She thought to herself as she smiled at the guardians and animals gathering around her. "Oh look at this cute lil' gu-" She was cut off as the pain dominated her head again and muffled words and sounds filled it. Tadashi stared into her hazel eyes, a comforting sign. "I-I .. have to.. sit down..." Tora mumbled as the pain overtook her words. She placed Tadashi on the ground and sat down next to him, jumbled words still overpowering any other thoughts she had, she closed her eyes and rubbed her forehead, trying to ease the pain that was dominating everything else. All she could do was sit there in pain waiting for this to go away.

(( Im half asleep atm so if this made no sense just wait later for me to change it if needed :p ))

"Tadashi, huh? I have a feeling we're going to get along just well, buddy." -Airis said to the animal while petting him.

*Airis then turned his attention at Tora's strange behavior. He quickly realized something was wrong with her*

"Tora? Can you hear me?"

*He could see she wasn't fully there*

"Tora, what's wrong?"

Somewhere on the planet, Ross felt a disturbance. Not in a bad way. Just...An anomaly. Something was drawing water further than it has previously spread. It hasn't reached wherever it was going, but he knew it couldn't be much further for it. Ross pondered going with it...He could be there in no time... And yet he didn't want to leave these people. Well, most of them anyway.

A dazed figure stumbles out from a blob of shade on a rocky outcrop. He tries shaking something of his arm, only to have a jet of blackness rocket out of it, splintering another large rock. A trail of black sludge writhes behind him, trying to grab hold of his ankle. He stumbles away, but the darkness gains. Only with a wild fling of his arm as he falls on his face does the darkness subside, hurtling westerlywards. He turns, and raises both hands at the pile of black. The darkness obeys his gestures, and after some time he discovers that he doesn't need to use his hands; his mind does just fine.

Any hope of this new embodiment turning out to be a nice young man gets shattered as he turns to the outcrop and crushes it to dust.

Arctos stalks towards.. well, I'm not really sure which direction it is, but it's probably an evil one.

((there are you happy i have a persona now jeez))

A crow lands suicidally near the blob.

Elsewhere, Cairne flops onto the ground. He is done with this shit, and thinks we should wear name tags.
Ross pulls out a business card and hands it to Cairne. It reads, "Ross, Guardian of Water. Water is my bitch."

Tora and Cairne both collapse. Ross wants to help, but....There's no way he can. Like when he tried to help Zwn with the bird on her head....Not only did he upset her, but he almost lost his orb. Maybe he should just accept the fact that he's not useful to other Guardians outside of combat....But he can be useful to the planet. Without a word, Ross leaves. He walks toward the stream created by the rut that had been formed by Ross' arrival. He lays down, closes his eyes, and sleeps.

"Ross," Poseidon's words echoed in the Guardian's head, "You've done well. But settling disagreements isn't the only thing you, and all of the other Guardians for that matter, are here to do. You're here to shape a planet." his mind drifted fluidly for a while. He didn't know how long, but he was content just floating by. At some point he hit land and his body reformed into, well, a body.

Ross stood up and looked around. Something was...Different. Obviously he was somewhere else; he'd expected to be, but everything was....Colorful....Green, mostly. He was awestruck, until he realized what it was, plantlife. That's why the water was being drawn here....And if there are plants, that means- He instantly became alert, scanning the land around him, but it wasn't necessary. Now that he knew what it was, he could feel it. Feel her. The Guardian of Flora had finally arrived.

He saw her walking, a fair distance away. He called out to her, "Flora!"

((Guardian of flight can make other beings capable of flight, or incapable.
I'd imagine that the guardian of sky would have to do something with the atmosphere; make sure the ozone layer is high enough, stabilize carbondioxide levels to prevent sunlight from scorching the planet, but I don't honestly know, as Faliara hasn't entirely specified her character's magic abilities (unless I've missed something), besides being able to fly and knowing if the atmosphere is/isn't as it should be.))

((Ahahaha, that's part of it I guess, but yeah, pretty sure that you all think there's kind of no reason so I'll be searching for a post that you all likely didn't read since I actually stated the reason for the position's existence before))

((Three of these things are somewhat self-explanatory, but since I'm pretty sure no one knows exactly what Sky is supposed to do, well... One of them's to make sure the sky's actually working properly in each area ("the sky's blue there? The sun's not facing that area, it's supposed to be night!" You'll get more details on that later on) and the other's weather control, since it wouldn't do to make it snow in June.))
((So... Yeah. All things like making sure the atmosphere is working properly aside, the other half of the job is actually making sure things like rain is in the right place at the right time.))

"So, you're name is Tora, correct? you're not the first guardian of Fauna I've met on this planet. Oh, my name is Catcocomics, by the way... and I was split into a few pieces, unsure how many as of yet. Trust me, I'm not normally a fox and wolf."
Catcocomics (fox) decided to see if this guardian of Fauna could understand him, or if he would be alone in his unexpected quest to it's very end... almost.

((Mad11gab8, if your character's passive ability to understand animals is unfailing.))

[BCOLOR=#ffffff]Guardian of Flora[/BCOLOR]
She was lost, for a moment. Her purpose had been ironclad when she departed the pod- Find the others. Bring the world to life. But the sheer joy of her power, the realness, physicality of the world and the life that she could bring forth with impunity consumed her, her steady walk slowing as she pulled from the earth all the plants she knew and could imagine. The dry landscape vanished in a whirl of color, green and red and yellow, until she could see nothing but pieces birthed from herself. A new piece of knowledge emerged, jolting her from the constant growth. With a sigh, she pushed most of the growth back into the ground, leaving only grass, shrubs and flowers. There was joy to be found in spreading her life, but room must be left for other things too, pieces to be filled by the rest of her kin. Each one held a piece of the puzzle, and as much as she wished, she could not cover the whole board in vines.

That thought prompted another (what a strange thing it was to be aware, to have new thoughts and memories thrust upon her without warning), and she pulled consciously again, raising thorny vines thick as ropes from the ground. With a few seconds of concentration, she wove them into a cloak, tight and hooded, thorns facing away from her body to the world. That.. felt right to her, as so many things did. She let the rest of the vines recede into the ground and then nothingness, making some small, final adjustments to the cloak.

She heard a voice. Her first, and words too, ones she understood implicitly. 'Flora,' he called her, but that was her title, not her name. She moved, a quicker walk than before, grass and flowers bent slightly slightly in the direction she moved. Looking closer, taking everything in, knowledge made itself relevant once more. He was the Guardian of Water, someone she needed, more than any of the others. "Hello!" The words and raised voice came unbidden. They were her first. "Hello!" she said again, quiet as she drew closer. "But my name's not Flora. That's my title. My name is..." She paused, was unsure for a moment. A singularly unpleasant feeling. "Caithe."

Tora growled slightly, unable to grasp the meaning of the jumbled mess of what where once words that crowded her head. Holding her head she kept her eyes closed, hoping to reveal a meaning to the many jumbled, illegible words ringing in her mind. Then suddenly a set of stronger words made them self present, she could just make them out. She opened her eyes to see the fox still standing there, and some of the people she had met looking at her concerned, mouths moving but no words.. She looked into the fox's eyes and the words became clearer, 'Tora correct?' The other jumbled words clearing from her thoughts, she focused harder on the small fox as the words became clearer and nodded, fascinated by what she was hearing, 'Your'e not the first guardian of Fauna I've met on this planet,' Tora was careful not to stray from the small fox, 'Oh, my name is Catcocomics, by the way... and I was split into a few pieces, unsure how many as of yet. Trust me, I'm not normally a fox and wolf.' She stared hard into Catco's eyes and thought, hoping he may be able to understand, 'Yes I am Tora... A few peices?' She thought concerned, 'Can I help you somehow?' The pain subsided and she learnt to control this new 'power'. Looking away from the fox now she stood up and looked at the group around her, "I-I'm fine guys.. Just had a bit of a conversation with someone..." She said looking at the fox and smiled, "And I think he may need some help.."

"Caithe, huh? That's a nice name. Ross." The Guardian of Water extended his hand. "I see you've learned to wield your element already. Some of the others weren't quite so lucky." At the thought of misfortune, Ross was reminded of those who had already died. He lowered his voice, "Some....Even more so."

Ross changed the subject quickly, not wishing to dwell on the negative. "So...Any plans?"

At last, someone code understand him again. Catcocomics felt slightly relieved that he could communicate verbally again, even if only to one person.
"You could help, yes. I do believe that I have located four of my pieces so far; fox, wolf, statue, and possibly some green flames that the guardian of fire accidentally absorbed recently. The others... well, I have no idea where they are, what they are, or how many remain, though I get the feeling that there is at least one other flame.
Would you like to hear a short tale as to how I came to be this way?"
Like the many planets before, Catcocomics' only unfailing way out of a predicament was through cooperation of friends, new or old, and team work.
"Ah... this is almost like the last few civilizations I helped... just lacking the buildings and unstable governments... oh, sorry... just remembering a few of my "recent" adventures before I came upon this planet.
Hmm, but would you just want to know what happened to me, or a full on my adventures on this planet?"

Her eyes returned to the fox just in time to catch the words that, apparently, only she could hear. She listened to the fox and replied, though not vocally, 'Sure, I think some explanation might help me in helping you... Well that is if you want me to help, but lets try to do it quickly as I am not sure how much longer I will be able to talk to you. Its not exactly easy..' She smiled, sat down and focused on Catco as he spoke, Tadashi snoozing in her lap as they had their silent conversation.

The literal meaning of his words were clear to Caithe, but he was putting something... extra, in, something she could not yet understand. She let it pass.
"My plans are, what all of our plans are, I would hope. To bring life to this empty world. Beyond that?" She frowned. "I don't... know. That's troubling." The frown deepened. "I guess... I need to think of something after that. Or...
Someone." She smiled.
