I have seen the IRC pokemon battles, and found a pokemon gym thread, but I'm just going to make a thread for things all about pokemon. You can post your friend code, but don't just make a message saying:

What is your favorite pokemon and why?

I am tied between Escavalier and Grovyle (Not sceptile) I love esacavalier because i have a shiny one and it has good attack, defense, and special defense along with average hp. I love grovyle because he looks cool and i fell in love with him during pokemon mystery dungeon

No you end up fighting Red, the playable character in first gen. Not technically your past self.

How about rating my teams?

Firered: 9/10 Covers each others weaknesses, good balance between types, and good balance between attack/defence pokemon

sapphire: 8/10 Nice team, but you might want to watch out for electric and grass pokemon. They are very common in the game and walrein might die from a super effective grass move before he can do a super effective ice move

Ruby: 6/10 or 7/10. You don't need two pokemon slaves, stick with one. Slakoth might be a bad choice in the long run depending on how you deal with slaking's ability. And i advise you evolve that nincada into a ninjask, as shedinjas dont really help

I plan on using one if the other dies (most likely from the switch tactic) as well as get more bonus from Pickup. As for Slaking, I plan on teaching it Skill Swap for the longer battles.

I have to agree with you there, unova had the best story, (out of the normal games) but the best story of all HAS to be in pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of time and darkness. I cried at one point
