Name of the map: Hikari to Yami (/warp rawr -- in my maps plot)
Creator(s): Me
Size: 62x62x65 (including bedrock box)
Round length: Med-Long?
Locations and suggested timing for timers:
(933, 128, 1252), (923, 119, 1264), (926, 110, 1252), (925, 99, 1261), (929, 93, 1264), (923, 87, 1251), and (949, 82, 1219)
Screenshots <include at least one screenshot of all timers>:

Overview

Top area/spawn

Side view

This is the view from the bottom of the map looking up into the light/spawn area.

Another view of the bottom area--It's basically filled with sand and two lava lakes.

The lava lakes and the area behind the dirt/sand hill. There's a timer in this area. (949, 82, 1219)

Here are the first three timers on the list. Two of them are in the spruce trees.
I think that I'm finished with the terraforming for this map-- I was mostly playing with VS, some WE, and handcrafting the terrain. I'm fine with the top area, but I'm unsure about what to place in the bottom where all the sand is at. I just placed two lava lakes, but it still feels unfinished to me. Do you guys know what kind of blocks would be suitable for this area? Also, the timers aren't evenly spaced out--they're between 5-10 blocks apart. The name that I chose is Japanese for "Light and Darkness" Should I change that? Any creative input would be appreciated.

EDIT: I made some new changes to the map and posted new photos in another post.

Another nice map, in my opinion. But I think at least a few bits of stone bricks in the map would be nice, in case it's angry and no one got safe blocks.

I think this map is amazing again rawr!

As for your concerns about the lower sand area; it isn't always needed to put things in there. For a lava survival server it is better fit if there are some areas that are opened up and actually clear which I really like about this specific map.

Timers issue is fine (in my opinion)

The name is fine no need to change it.

Great work!

Bottom part could use a bit more variety in my opinion. You could probably include a few layers of sandstone in the very bottom layers to begin with, and you could also add in a few cacti and dead bushes, assuming that the bottom portion is desert themed. Can't think of anything else that would be a nice addition, which means that all else is A-OK in this map.

Another great map Rawr! I have a few suggestions for it. Try putting stone under the sand in the lower area so players can dig under it to make themselves a shelter without all the sand falling on them. Maybe add a cave into the sand mountain in the corner in the third picture with an Easter egg, like Shande's on Corruption for example.

Thank you for the input guys! Also, I'm sorry for the late reply as I was busy over the weekend.
As for the edits-- Instead of putting one full layer of a certain block-- I chose to set them in randomly. There's stonebrick and cobble set within the stone areas. Then there's sandstone set within the sand areas.
I took Spencer's idea into consideration and decided that five layers of stone/cobblestone/stonebrick would be a good chunk. And then I added a bedrock layer at the bottom--Is this necessary for all maps? Also, the map is a bit taller now, though It doesn't look as natural with the stone layers on the bottom anymore.

After looking at IcedSky, and thoroughly studying it very carefully, I realized I'm stupid and totally didn't think about how that map is just floating in the middle of nowhere with no bedrock. At all.. I think. Except timers.

In other words, you're probably fine without bedrock, but that's not exactly up to me.
