Anvil base is probably the most secure military base in the world.
Belonging to the paramilitary division of the large mega corporation Ltin Corporation, it has only one access point, a rail tunnel leaving from a secret point in Canada. There is no suitable place to build any sort of dock, as the islands craggy sides and rough waves would make both construction and access difficult. Weather around the island is so volatile that if an aircraft gets anywhere near the island it is sure to fall into the depths below. This is why Ltin Corporation chose to place the largest bank vault in the world there.

A rumor began floating around the base that a terrorist attack was being planned. The rumors got so out of hand that Ltin Corporation had to make a public announcement. "The threats of an attack are not credible, and even if they were, could not possibly be successful." But speculation still existed.
