Catcocomics plays Hardcore Minecraft

Out of pure boredom, I have decided to test my skills in minecraft by playing a hardcore survival world that I just randomly generated. From time to time, I will use this thread to upload images (and once I learn how to commentate with Fraps, I will also upload videos) to this thread to show what I have accomplished.

I will continue to post on this thread until I either die in the game, or I lose interest.

I will always post an update of ores and tools in these updates. I will also post an update for structures if/when I build more on them.

[edit]: I should note a few things: first of all, I forgot to take a picture of my wheat farm.
Secondly, I am running into close calls left and right. Example: a creeper blows up right next to me and takes me down to 1 HP, or I fall down a hole and get brought to 1 HP.

I am also saving backups in the event that I actually die, but I plan to use these so others can play my world from a certain point of progression. I guess you can call them checkpoints?

Never the less, I still have several hours of gameplay to try and accomplish without dying. For starters, I need to find diamonds so I can start getting enchants and nether.

Talk about retarded, I tried to do a 3-hit combo on a creeper, and it exploded before I could get the third hit.

Wtf Dinnerbone, what did you do to the creepers' detonation timer? Now'll they're just plain OP with a side of troll.

Because this was a 1-hit K.O. from something that literally should have been killed by a combo, I leave it up to you guys to determine if I should continue from my last back-up.

You should just exercise caution near creepers. 3-hit combo's are risky. Run at them quickly, land a hit so they knockback, back away and repeat.
Also you can't restart your hardcore world because 'Something went unexpected/not your way'. It's a risk that comes with hardcore :3 I recommend starting over.

Build a massive castle or fortress to hoard all your precious loot

Go to the nether

Transform the mines into a minecart-highway

Start a brewing career

Build and populate a NPC village

Create a massive hoard of gold, diamonds, emeralds, and any other valuables you might find

Catch one of each kind of fish

Catch a saddle

Create a full 30 level enchanting station

Create a full 1.0 50 level enchanting station

Cosplay! Dress up as Link

Enchant something

Fully enchant a diamond Sword

Fully enchant a fishing rod

Get a silk touch diamond pickaxe

Take a bath in a lake of fire and Survive!

Go "Ghast Fishing"

Cosplay! Dress up as a wither skeleton

Capture and rename a super-charge creeper

Defeat the Ender Dragon

Make a monument with the dragon egg

Make a massive mob grinder

Take the gunpowder from your mob grinder and build a massive TNT shot-cannon

Make a blaze farm

Make an enderman farm

Make a splash potion that has no effects and throw them on a wither

Kill a wither

Make a wither skeleton farm

Get the achievement: "On a Rail" in the nether

Play a game of tennis with a Ghast in the overworld

Make a beacon

Make a full powered beacon from your massive hoard of ores and your beacon block

Cosplay! Dress up as the doctor

Make a giant Christmas tree

Surround your house and Kingdom with Jack o'-Lanterns

Make a pigman farm in the nether above the upper bedrock layer

Make a nether portal above the upper bedrock layer

Make a massive hole in the upper bedrock layer

Use the sheep to build a giant rainbow of wool in the middle of nowhere

Build a rainbow XP farm

Give a sword silk touch and get a cobweb

Give a zombie or skeleton a full suit of your absolute best armor and beat it with only a wooden sword

Max out your ore hoard
