I decided t' bump this thread so I didn't have to make a new one for the same topic. The Let's Play? Voodoo Vince. I started t' address the volume of my voice in the second episode, but I'm starting to do better. One will come out every other day. Feedback is appreciated! Here are the first two episodes.





I found out how to cut in Movie Maker starting episode 3, so don't worry about that stuff. Getting lost will be cut out from here on out.

Regarding voice volume, I recommend recording your voice with a separate audio recorder so you can increase it without increasing game volume, though that really only works on computer :x but audacity works well for that if you want to know :3 its also a lot of editing if you want to clip a part out. :x

Alright, first off;
You sound awesome.

With some adjusting, you'll sound even more awesome.

Now, I don't feel like you sound like you're really nervous, but that doesn't mean others won't, either. Just keep making the videos you want to make, because as you get more and more used to talking, you won't be nervous anymore... That is to say, if you are indeed nervous. :p

The volume of your voice should be adjusted to be louder than the game. And the game volume should be a touch louder.

And, what I love most of all, you didn't talk during the cut-scenes and dialogue. I already love you.

The video quality looks fine, but things, such as the line at the bottom of the screen, can be a bit annoying. Not too annoying, but annoying.

And, if possible, putting it in widescreen would help, as well. Since most viewers will have widescreen monitors, or at least for YouTube.

As I said before, just keep doing what you want to do. If you ever get hate messages, or really bad criticism, just keep making videos. Make videos because you want to, not so others can notice you! ;)

I have to admit, I'll be glad to subscribe and wait for more videos. Currently, I'm not very interested in watching LPs, as I have several I need to catch up on/am waiting for, but your LP has made it onto that list. :3

Edit : The text you have pop up at around 11:00 looks fine, but is slightly off the screen; to the left. I think it should also have a backdrop, as the text was slightly hard for me to read. I feel the amount of time you had it up was fine, though.

Edit Edit : To be honest, I'm fine with the silence during your commentary. Not all people are able to talk every second of the video they make... Like Gamechap and Bertie, as well as NerdCubed.

Only problem I have with your commentary, as I said above, is the volume of your voice. And the game.

Thanks for th' feedback! I'm not silent because I'm nervous, only because I had nothing t' talk about. I like when people are quiet, kinda like w92baj. While editing, it didn't look like it went off the screen, so I'll try t' keep it inside a bit more. As for th' line at the bottom, I don't know how t' remove that, but I really wanna know how.I also don't know how t' widescreen. Help?

Last thing: This is just the first episode and it's unlisted, so it won't go public for a week or two. I'm gonna wait a bit before recording again. Mainly for school purposes. But I'll try t' record as far into th' game as I can. ;)
