Ok, so today I finally got to watching battle royale. Compared to hunger hunger games I liked it a lot much more. ( if you are not used to language and gore don't watch it, it should be rated R) The movie came out way before hunger games. (same as the book version) It has completely the same mindset and theme. So, if you have seen Battle royale, did you like it more than hunger games?

Battle Royale, easily.
You have more candidates, which means more story and death. Something Battle Royale has that the Hunger Games doesn't is generally equal character development- none. The HG focuses too much on one character that people either love or hate (me being the latter), while BR has emotional tension for almost all canidates, despite not getting much character from them. Even if you disagree with all this, there is one thing that easily sets BR above the HG:
The lighthouse fight. <3
