Woke up, named my female character Kattzen, took the Cyndaquil and delivered the Egg. Got some balls and captured a Hoothoot, found two Ratatta in a row and went back to a cave to snatch a Geodude.
Explored Bellsprout Tower, said to be infested with Ghost-typed Pokemon. All I found? Ratatta. Every encounter in that place was Ratatta. Saw the jerk who robbed Elm. Earlier I had swiped his Trainer Card, revealing his name to be none other than Razinao. Got the TM Flash from some old dude and went into the Gym. After noticing the glass walkways around the trainers, I decided to defeat the two anyway before wiping the floor with Falkner. Afterwards, I received the Egg from before, which hatched into a precious Togepi. Named him Chibi. Caught a Bellsprout and traded it for an Onix. Found a secret chamber in the Ruins of Alph and caught an Unown. Also found a Geodude hidden in a rock that was quite high in level in comparison to the other wild monsters. Cindy roasted that guy. Saw a dancing tree. Went south to see what was there. Destroyed a cocky Trainer and went back to Violet Town.
anyway Rockette died due to some jerk's lv 10 wooper
but I backtracked to route 46 or whatever and caught another Geodude
named him Brock
also caught a Zubat in union cave, named him Dusklord
grinding my 'mons ...NOT THAT KIND OF GRINDING. I CAN HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS.
Chibi wiped out the Rockets in Slowpoke Well, and evolved after their leader was defeated.
Also got the bug badge. Scyther is scary.
While training for Whitney, a lv 10 ditto transformed into Brock (Lv. 23) and used Magnitude.
It rolled a 10.
And Critical Hit.

rival's croconaw apparently knew ice fang, which is doubly super effective against pompom's typing
