Well Blocktopia...
Can't believe I am making my first farewell post but I should have done this a couple months ago.
On the day January 27th 2011 I joined Blocktopia Classic TNT. I was quite the newbie back then, I rarely spoke to anyone for the first few weeks (not as little as Choras). After that period I started learning the ropes of the server and I begin to help out with the server. I wanna say it was a couple months later I made my first appreciation. (If someone could somehow find it that would be awesome) :) It was denied by Kingsam after a discussion with other staff members. During this period I had also learned about the Blocktopia Lava and Zombie servers. I always tried
to attempt to get into lava but it seems it was almost always full. I would play zombie occasionally and one memory sticks out the most at that time was me asking the staff members over and over to make me first zombie (the beginning of becoming a brain eater). A little while after asking that I was the first zombie 3 outta 4 maps in a full server. coincidence? I think not haha.
I would end up rarely ever playing classic lava and playing zombie about 30% of the time. Rest of my time ended up with TNT until they made the point system change which made me lose interest in it (I couldn't spam mines like I used too)
and I just about quit playing minecraft for a month or two.
As I came back I never became interested in TNT or Lava again. But when this happened it began my addiction to ZOMBIEZZZZZ, well what could I say, zombies by far was the best server ever right? (waits for TNT/Lava/premium lovers to react) When I started playing it again I actually played as a human quite often. Then I relized how much I sucked at it... So I went on to the
simple re-logging right after first zombie was picked so I could play zombie 110% of the time. After a while of playing I decided to apply for trusted of course after getting 5 references. It passed. C: http://blocktopia.net/forum/threads/july-26th-txboy1234s-trusted-application.7724/
I can say I will never forget the moment when RaneOfPane sent me a private message about a week into my trusted era that they were gonna make a big push for me to be a operator due to how well I had done as a trusted. Yeah guys simple words like that can make the biggest difference in a person within a community and they won't forget it. A couple weeks later I become
a operator and from that point on I had the greatest time I ever had within this community.
I can't say enough how much fun I had here and enjoyed just about every bit of every minute I was in the server. The closing of classic Blocktopia was just about the end of my time here. In the end I can say I was one of the few people that got to kill over 10k people in zombie. Had my application of been accepted in TNT I very well might not be saying all these great things I experienced in zombies and I can honestly say I am happy to say my app was denied.
Once classic shutdown I moved onto premium of course where I visited JTE the most. Oh man did I have no idea what to do in premium and by no idea I mean I had NO IDEA what the hell I was doing. I would stay there for a bit but not a lot of people within the server is what made me leave it. So after that I couldn't get into AOD, I just really couldn't. I heard that it was supposed to be the zombie of premium but sadly it just was never near what zombie was. Never was interested in buildbox, well because I never interested in freebuilds in premium. So I moved onto ROF, it was a lot of fun, it really was. I came there still not knowing a whole lot about premium and what to do but over time I did and the experiance was that much greater. I got to the rank of Master in ROF and that was just about it, I started to lose interest in it due to the repetitiveness of the server. (then again, all I did in zombie was eat brains and play the same maps so who knows)
Well, this is my timeline in Blocktopia. I tried to make it as accurate as I possibly can but I know it's there are things off in it.
Now i'll move onto a more serious note. As my time here faded little day by day I noticed people weren't responding as they used to in classic or when I first came to premium. Maybe it was just I became quieter as time went on or maybe just maybe I acted in a manner or said a few things to people that well, just made them ignore me. I am a very opinionated person and I am sure
a lot of you know that. I will speak up on a lot of things I believe should be done or are right in my opinion. If I thought you were doing something wrong for the community or in the servers I said something. I know by saying what I just did, there were a few instances where my opinion/thoughts/sarcastic remarks probably crossed the line and to anyone offended well I apologize and I did not mean any harm by my opinions or comments.
I am not going to post specific names or such because I know I am going to miss quite a few people since I haven't seen some people in a long time since classic shutdown.
And with this fellow Blocktopians I had hell of a great almost 3 years with this community, I will never forget this community for the rest of my life and most of you are damn good people! (don't worry you are good)
Of course I will check into the forums occasionally, but when it comes to playing in the servers eh I don't think I could. There might be a time I come back for a bit to see whats going on or if anything was added on, like a new server. *cough zombie cough* but until then
Keep Blocktopia the best damn community of Minecraft and keep it that way, we have gone through many ups and downs but we just keep moving on strong as ever. Farewell!
