[BCOLOR=transparent]I’m sure that a few of these things have been suggested before, but I’m too lazy to actually go and check. bear with me. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]It's also entirely possible that in between me noticing a thing that I want changed and me writing this, the admins have actually changed that thing without me noticing. If this happens the admins should know that they have preemptively plagiarized me and I will be contacting my lawyers.[/BCOLOR]

General:
Forum Stuff:

Have a periodic vote for players to rank maps (this was done for AoD, but rarely at best.) Maps should be sorted into things like keep, rebalance, and remove. Maps in the keep pile are kept unchanged (duh.) Maps in the rebalance pile should be modified according to user comments, for example: kits, chest items, op spots, difficult parkour, exploits, etc. Maps in the remove pile would obviously be removed. It should also be possible to vote for maps to be re-added, I know there are a lot of AoD and infection maps which aren’t in the roster right now that I would like to play.

Less important, once the server is ready for new map submissions it would be nice if someone could make a thread like this one to encourage new players to make maps. Obviously a lot of material can be copied from that thread directly, but things have changed plus we have three more game modes to talk about.

Maps:
Mapmakers should be able to set the suggested number of players for a map (which of course, could be altered by the voting process above.) If a mapmaker sets the player number to min five and max ten then that map would only show up in the option for next round when there are between five and ten players online. This functions similarly to the small map versions for CTNT.

Voting:
I’m sure this has been suggested in one of the other threads, but players should be able to vote each round on which map type (Zombie, FFA, etc) they play next. To ensure that every map type gets played some map types could either be removed from the vote if they are being voted for too frequently, or a random map from a random map type could be forced (i.e. without a vote) every ten or fifteen rounds.

Also, Map votes should have three or four map options rather than the two we currently have. Often the random dice gods throw up the same maps over and over again, or two sucky maps into the same vote, so this would help give us some options when choosing what to play next.

Lobby:
I assume that there is going to be a new lobby once the server gets out of beta, so this is directed to whomever is making it (Swim, I think? I seem to remember him working on a lobby for AoD.) The Lobby should have a physical tutorial that new players must walk through, similar to the tutorials for PTNT, RoF, and, at the very beginning, AoD. This ensures that new players know the rules (or at least see the rules) and also will introduce them to the basic game mechanics of our more unique game modes. I have seen for myself long time members of this community who don’t know how to use the Rocket or that you have to actually intersect another player to infect them, so imagine how people who have never been on an Escape Restart server before are gonna react.

Gameplay:
CTF:

Have a popup at the start of the round which tells you what team you’re on, the chat message that I have been assigned the kit “red” is not enough, and is often lost in the chat. Don’t assume I’m smart enough to figure out that I’m on the red team just because all of the blocks in my spawn area are red.

Add a way by which players can get multi-kills. Seeing as CTF is inspired by TNT, it makes sense for this to be a TNT block you can buy from the shop. I’m a bad judge of prices but maybe 25 orbs per TNT? An alternative idea is a snowball (or egg, I don’t judge) which can kill two to three players if they happen to be lined up.

Add points for capturing flags. I think it was 100 points per flag on CTNT? this could obviously be altered to better fit with the cost of ranks and items.

Infection:
Add a kill stream in the chat. When a survivor is infected have a message pop up in chat “Urist Mc-survivor was infected by froyd” or something of that ilk, and then the number of survivors remaining.

Add a scoreboard on the side showing top kills, similar to the board for FFA.

Remove the effects after you infect someone. Instead, play the sound of a zombie being killed or something. Just as effective at alerting someone that they caught their quarry, far less annoying.

Zombie:
Bring back the thunder when a new dark hunter is chosen. I always prefer audio cues to visual because sometimes I’m not looking at my computer screen.

FFA:
Add more maps. I know this is a beta but two maps? seriously?

[BCOLOR=transparent]Probably more stuff but I ran out of steam, I’ll add to this when I think of anything new.[/BCOLOR]

These are all great ideas, especially 'Forum Stuff," "Maps," and "Lobby."

For "Voting," I think it should be a mix of what you suggested. It could be like a vote with one option for each type of gamemode (CTF, Infection, Zombie, and FFA).
So an example would be like:
1. [CTF] Terminal
2. [Infection] Don't Fall
3. [Zombie] Cubism
4. [FFA] Sword Base
And if a map is played too often, it should be removed out of the voting for a bit just like you said.

Also, for the second suggestion in 'Forum Stuff' about voting to re-add maps. I think there should also be a vote for what type of gamemode we might want to see the maps as. If people think a certain map or maps could be a different gamemode than what it was originally, the staff/anyone willing to edit could edit the map to fit the gamemode.
For example, the originally 'Zombie" map, Pacman, could be voted to be re-added as both an FFA gamemode and CTF gamemode, so someone could edit the kits to make them more balanced or to edit the map by adding flags to it.

I also think all the ideas for the gamemodes should be added.

Nice suggestions! ^_^
