100% chance of Russian .src files!

Saul sent superstein and I these messages. Turns out the link redirects to a Russian webaddress, turning into a downloading executable in the process. Don't click on these. I figured I'd make a thread since it's coming from actual friends and accounts instead of friend bots.

And yes, it did fool me but Steam's browser being broken crap like usual wouldn't open the link for me so nothing happened. :)

I clicked, saw a download and pressed Enter (my lightning-fast download reflexes default to pressing Enter as soon as the dl popup appears). I even downloaded a fukken antivirus (after 3 long years ffs) to do a scan, nothing wrong.

Now time to uninstall Avast and forget this install ever happened.

I am so sorry (I am Myrtle Snow), my friend sent it me and me being naive as I am clicked it, then suddenly BAM lots of messages sent, people raging, madness. I'm so sorry if I caused any trouble to you.
EDIT: I have ran a virus scan and nothing has been detected, so I've sent a message to steam support for more help. Again, really sorry D:
Another EDIT: My friend who studies computing has talked me through some stuff and I've deleted the files. Hopefully that's it and the virus has gone, but I'm waiting on steam support just in case. Thank yo all for being patient with me

Yes, the file name is Screen_19521, located in downloads. However only those who ran the file will have been infected, so as long as you ignored it, you will be fine :)
I've ran a McAfee and a malwarebytes scan and so far nothing has come up, so I think it might have left my pc as soon as it had finished sending out the link. Not sure though :S
