Lately I have been having issues with my computer, just after starting it up and logging in to minecraft it crashes most of the time, it does it with other programs aswell. I have had a look through task manager and found that it is using aroung 1.5 GB of memory when not doing anything and about 1.7 GB when playing MC. Cpu usage is also about 15-30% when doing nothing. I also saw in the processes tab that something called "svchost" is using alot of resources. I googled it and found that is a memory leak bug or something to do with windows. I found alot of online tools that fix it but I don't really trust them. So I don't know what to do. I also found something called "trojan.win32/agent" when scanning with avast but I don't know what to do about it. Something else wierd is that when avast goes to scan C drive it crashes. I don't know what going on and I don't know how to fix it either. HALP PLZ.

Have you downloaded any recent .exe file lately? I remember I got a virus that caused all other .exe files to crash, become unresponsive, or not open them at all.

I found the source of the virus, renamed it, and was able to throw it into the trash can. So if it won't let you move delete the trojan/window thing, rename it anything and then delete it.

Also, if you see trojan in any file of your computer (unless in a shopping list), then there's a problem here.

Since avast keeps crashing you'll have to manually delete it.
Type in msconfig>startup>look for any of the following items "ntlogon.exe, mfcexp.exe, svcbak.exe or trojanspy.win32.agent.d.exe." If you see one of them, hover over it and find its location on your computer and find it/shred it.

Another option is to go into task manager and look for ntlogon.exe, mfcexp.exe, svcbak.exe or trojanspy.win32.agent.d.exe. and end the process there.

It's a keylogger/phisher which emails all the keys you stroke to the 'hacler' so if you have recently typed in any passwords for anything ever since it started acting up, change the passwords on a phone or another computer and the accounts should be safe.

Try those options and tell me if they worked for you :)

I will try this, but how do I shred it though?

EDIT: is there any other way of removing it without doing it manually?

EDIT EDIT: found this o.o http://i.imgur.com/TRnHu.jpg

If you have your copy of windows, as well as a boot disc and windows key, I would suggest hardbooting your computer--- If that's an option.

And by that, I mean formatting your PC (I think that's what it's called, formatting.) then installing windows on your PC again.

But, this is probably the last thing you'd want to do, as you would lose everything.

It would garantee a fresh, clean computer, though. ;)

Am I allowed to post here.

Something like this used to happen to my Windows PC. So I (including my computer expert brother, but Mostly me). Just did some work and coding and other things. In end I just restarted/reconfigurated-whatever my computer. I did have to redownload everything again but it was fix'd.
