Small Problem

OK, I've checked my youtube account, and for some reason, even though I typed xXUlt1m4D3rpyXx as my name, it just shows up with my real name. How do I change it back (ToxXUlt1m4D3rpyXx)?

Well, the thing is, YouTube now uses your email account's specified name that you have used.

And, quite frankly... There's only one solution I can give to you.

Damnit... Tried everything... *sigh* I'll just have to stick with my bucking real name...(I thought YouTube was user-info safe... and then they do THIS to us...)

I tried this for myself to see if it can be changed back, so I made a small guide for it. Hope it helps.

Whenever I log into YouTube I always ignore the message asking me if I wanted to use my real name so that I can keep my original username. This time I logged out and logged back in and put "Derpy Hooves" as my name.



At the main screen click on the drop down box and click settings.



On the settings page there should be an option called "Disconnect channel from Google+" (It can always be reconnected again later) Click that.



Make sure the checkbox is checked and then click "Rename channel."



After this, your channel should now be reverted back to the original username. :)

Curse strikes again... Damnit, thanks for the help, but it won't let me change my name one way or another...
