Imperator Romanus Sacer
The game's been out for almost a year ago, but it's going big with not only another update but an Xbox release, so I think it's about time to bring this up.
For those of you who don't know what it's about, I'll put the summary of the Prologue (which is mostly a flashback) in the Spoiler. Since you actually play the Prologue first and find this out, look at your own risk. But I can't really leave you without some sense of a storyline.
In my opinion, it's one of the best RPGs ever. The decisions you make take effect later on in the storyline and it's not a simple Load-Save thing. It takes an awesome amount of skill to play Hard, one thing I can't do, and the bosses are even harder to master, even with awesome items. Later on in the story there is a massive divide which affects most of the later storyline (though not the epilogue). It's really fun and will keep you busy for hours.

Any thoughts if you've got it on PC or Xbox?

You are Geralt of Rivia, a Witcher. After a series of events including a close assassination to your king, Foltest, you manage to save him and become his bodyguard. You are in a civil war and are about to crush one of the last resistance holds in the land with Foltest. You survive a dragon attack, kill the enemy leader of the fort OR let him live and get captured (your choice). A dragon suddenly flies in after but you manage to chase it off, sneak behind enemy lines into the church and reach the king's children. When you reach Foltest's children with Foltest there is a monk there who has been taking care of them. they have a reunion scene while the knights are still fairly far back. Then suddenly the monk takes his hood of and reveals to be another Witcher and assassinates Foltest before you can do anything and somehow survives a jump out of the window. Shortly after Foltest's knights arrived with Foltest dead and you standing next to his dead body - with the kingslayer escaped and you the only suspect.
