Third Time's a Charm

Hello, your local zombified alligator here! This will serve as a re-introduction thread but more so a leaving thread. For those who don't know me well, I'm Later_Gator! I used to be an operator on the zombie survival server (twice) and resigned in February of 2012. If you happened to briefly meet me, congratulations, you have survived! But seriously, I might have striked you as a goofball. And if I did, that's because I am one! And, come on, I think I'm an alligator, so what were you supposed to expect?

Anyway, on to the part I've been dreading. For those who have known me for awhile, this my third (and final) leaving thread. I admit. The first two threads. They were completely irrational. I had convinced myself that I was overwhelmed by school. Heck, I even thought getting my priorities straightened out would be very time-consuming (and I didn't even straighten them out!). What huge mistakes those were. And in retrospect, I regret making those threads, because I resigned (both times) when I shouldn't have, and I apologize to the zombie head (ex) staff for that! However, I regret making my second leaving thread more, because, well, I already used the title "Later gators" for it and using it a second time on here would be just lame.

All jokes aside, I very well believe that this is it for me. In my foreseeable future, Minecraft's not a part of the equation; I can't continue to play. Well, I could, but that would only hurt me in the long run. It's taken me awhile to finally realize how incredibly crucial my time is. I have a job. I'm taking music lessons. I'm finishing up high school. And there's college coming up. These are most of the important things I need to be focusing my time on, and, for awhile, I haven't been. Instead, I've been using my time to browse the forums and play on the servers. And I'm 18-years old. I need to be more responsible and focus on more important things. It's just time for me to leave Minecraft and, consequently, this community.

But, you know, I only play Minecraft because of this community. And it's funny. I really should have donated the $20 I used to purchase Minecraft (during beta) to this community, because I seldom play premium (so take that, Mojang!). I've made so many friends and memories here. This community is just truly amazing and has great people, and I hope it will continue to grow and thrive. I thank the head staff for all of their hard work and dedication to the community. I thank the rest of the staff for creating a fun, positive, and friendly atmosphere on the servers. And I also thank everyone one else who has made my stay here a blast.

Take care and later, gators.

First off, let me say "crucial time" is serious time that you cannot ever get back. Majority of your life between your teen-young adult-adult years; will be serious from high school to college, first jobs, prom, (never went to mine. ;_; ) after school activities, and developing a mindset to start thinking; it's time to act like an adult.

Let me say to that mindset, in my full honest to god opinion. Fuck it. You have plenty of time to spend (only if you want of course) with the blocktopia community, or with your friends in real life, or doing fun stuff. I'm 19 in college thinking i needed the same thing, to start acting like a adult and let go of my past. DO. NOT. DO. THAT! Stop being so cautious and serious, you will overload yourself and ultimately hurt your chances for better things in life. I know because i screwed up last semester, constantly working, thinking about classes and more of my future. I blacked out before my finals last semester from an overload which ticked me off, because of that i failed 4 of my 7 classes i took. (just from not taking the finals, stupid school ;_; ) You need to calm yourself down, and take things slowly. Most people don't even get their first college degree till their mid twenties.

Find a good balance for yourself, to even out when to act professionally and when to act as a goofball.

Lastly, i remember all those good times from zombie, even before you became an OP. You were an awesome dude. Keep at it.
