Will You Roleplay?

With the new Forum, Diaries & Journals, it makes me wonder who will roleplay in Solitude?

To me, JtE started out as a HUGE outlet to encourage roleplaying in the community. With the Quests, Town plugins, etc it should've been a focus. Obviously that didn't happen, and most people were shunned when they attempted so.

Solitude looks like a starting line for people who want a roleplay esque interaction and would be highly applicable to Solitude. Since it's basically open land where anyone can grief, pvp, and die for a long period of time.

Back to the first question: Will you roleplay in the server Solitude? Why or why not?

Bonus questions:
- Why is roleplay so discouraged in a videogame nearly perfect for the set? Especially in Blocktopia.
- Do you think people are just too lazy?
- Does it just not pick up?

Yes :D! I even have a specific role I may rp as, if I feel like it.

Light roleplaying is the best, just in communities where everyone knows each other, that "random person" aspect is removed, which is why I think a lot of people don't do it here.

Most players want the roleplay to revolve around them, like in a traditional RPG (everyone wants to be the 'main character' for example), nobody ends up agreeing on anything, and it usually just turns into a bunch of people fighting and arguing under the guise of 'roleplaying' in my opinion. Unless I can recruit a bunch of players who I trust (and can also type in coherent sentences) I most likely won't be roleplaying.

Yes just yes. We have a leader, who gives out assignments on who to hunt out and kill. Then we get paid with food/blocks and make our home.

Tried role-playing before on solitude, there was just never enough people on at one time.
Also if indeed my group had come across anyone hostile there wouldn't have been much role-play interaction.
It was simply the group was walking around with full stacks of food and armor entirely and anything in our path would have been EATEN. Anyone else quickly joined the faction and became allies.
