For a while now, some of us have imagined how the new snapshot will alter blocktopia. The most significant worry for the Journey to Elysium branch is that with the new biomes and terrain generation, a new map will be due.

In this thread the community can discuss ways to work around this. Such as widening the world borders or deleting some unused chunks and reloading them.

If you think someone's post is very agreeable and would work well, give them an "agree" rating so we can see which are the most popular. if you have multiple ideas, post them separately but don't go to crazy with triple and quadruple posts.

Thank you,

You mean discuss impractical methods that take a ton of time to set/up action that staff will be required to do? Such things are often discussed around significant changes, but in practice it's not as simple as it sounds.

Nuke the map from orbit, it's the only way to be sure!

Hey guys, I have an idea. How about destroying all the work that's been done by countless people over the last 9 months, why don't we just add an "alternate timeline" set in the "alternate world", meaning people can harvest new blocks also without major repercussions to the map/story/etc.

Or just create a new map and slap the JtE:The New World on the front of the portal.

Or just create a special portal to the world for 1.7 and keep the old JtE as usual. Kinda like Roobard's idea.
