Your favorite Sonic the Hedgehog game?

If I have to explain the point of this topic, then you obviously cannot read.
Only thing worth noting is that ALL games in the franchise count, regardless of whether or not you can actually PLAY as Sonic.

My favorite is Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Sonic CD almost ties, however.

I'll base it off these categories:
Gameplay: Has to go to the Genesis Sonic games.
Storyline: I don't think I can put anything in for this.
Graphics: Though the least important part of the game, it's obvious that this goes to Generations.
Music: Okay, now THIS one is the toughest. No matter how good or bad the game, one thing Sonic games are well known for is their kickass music. While this can go to many contenders, from the original Sonic the Hedgehog to to Generations to even the likes of '06, I'm gonna go with Sonic Adventure 2 for this one.
Level Design: SA2 space levels. 'Nuff said.
Favorite game: While the second Sonic the Hedgehog for the Genesis, as well as Generations are some of my more favorite games in the franchise. Sonic Adventure 2 is my favorite.
