Just throwing this out there. If you haven't played FFT Advance [for the GameBoy Advance] you need to. Now. I don't even care that you don't have a GameBoy, buy one just for this game. It's that good.

Haven't played any others than the tactics and Hoshigami games. Didn't really understand Hoshigami(had the DS version) so eh. Hated Advance because of the races job system, and A2 for the same reason, plus the fact that A2 had -ZERO- random battles. Also, they both had laws. Very annoying laws.
Honestly, I loved the race system. The laws, I hated at times, but I could curve around them with a system in the game, using cards to change the laws while in the match.
A2 actually does have random battles, too. Well, as random as random could go with tactical games.

In FFTA, I ran the overpowered party of 2 jugglers, paladin, time mage (specced with that tinker claw using thing), gladiator/templar, and an assassin
