Cannibalism has been around for hundreds of thousands of years, it's nothing to get your jimmies rustled over unless some crazy cult is trying to kill you and eat you, the reason people are so "hysterical" over "Miami zombie" attack thing is because he shares some attributes of a zombie, which is, as you can expect, uncommon, as for this Kenya and Canadian thing, I live in Canada and have no idea what you're talking about.

Fyi all I want for a weapon is a aluminum/steel baseball bat with a bunch of steak knives duct taped at the end ;)
What a weak weapon. I'm afraid you'd barely last 50 zombies. The bat would bend eventually if you're aiming for the head, which you should. The knives would barely be able to pierce the skull as well, since they were just duct taped on, and they are steak knives, meaning they weren't meant to pierce a human skull.

For a weapon, I myself would want a shaolin spade for my close combat (the most effective weapon for hacking/slashing). As well, a rifle of some sort with a silencer, coupled with a good bit of ammunition.

I've always wondered if zombies can get through ye ol' steel knight armour. I would find a museum and test the theory, for science.

As for weaponry, a pair of handguns would be nice, with one of those Japanese swords you always see advertised on television.

A diamond sword with smite IV, knockback II and fire aspect II. I would also have a bow with Power V, infinity I, punch II and Flame II. A full set of diamond armour would be needed aswell.

A stack of TnT and some flint and steels woyld be nice too.

Psh, all you guys, running around like Rambo. You'd last a day.

As for me, I'd keep it down to the basics:

Trench knife for close range.
Bow for long range (mostly to hunt wildlife) or the revolver I have locked in my safe.
Light clothing. Carry a jacket and some longer pants for colder areas.
First-aid kit.
Food rations.
Water canteen.
Portable radio.
A rechargeable flashlight.
Multiple pairs of socks.
Some painkillers (mostly for the chronic headache I have)
A gas mask

Then I'd be all set.

I see why you like the .38 fatalis.... Any way, my choice of weapons would be a crossbow, the long sword that I have on my wall, some medium fire rate pistol with a large mag, a LOT of preserveable food supplies, fire starters, first aid kit, self heating sleeping bag, and a DMR. Also, toiletries. Leaving your body untended can kill you out there, or at least render you useless
