I second this question. Ill google it and get back to you.
EDIT: Found this:
Garrys mod or gmod is an sandbox game that you can play alone or online or via internet. it has no campain and can use buldings, units, maps, npc, material, weapons, and much more from other valve games (half life, counter strike) and many more.

What it is? FUCKING AWESOME. That it is.
so much fun for 10$(?) because of all the awesome shit. You can roleplay; parkour; survive zombie unslaughts; build with friend; build ships and fight and muuuuch more. The only downside is that Gmod crashes a lot (for me).

I'd say get it; watch a video and you might say "meh" but find the right server and you'll laugh your arse off.

What Shiny said. It's like a giant physics sandbox. Alone it's like Minecraft classic.

But also like Minecraft classic there are tons of different nodded game modes. Detective games (Trouble in Terrorist Town), Roleplay (tons of variations), Zombie survival, and more.

And singleplayer is just as great, since you can get tons of stuff if connected to the net. You can create animations, or download hundreds of new toys. My personal favorite is using the Orbital Raincannon (I believe it's called). It's quite, err... Epic. Monsters from fantasies can come to life as you bring in Weeping Angels and more. Or, create a giant rollercoaster.

The goal of GMod? It's the same as Minecraft. There is none, except to have fun.

Oh my fucking god, I love this game. I mainly found out about because of Smelya and Nill were playing it. Infact, my first time playing on it was a online gamemode called Trouble in Terrorist Town, which I played with smelyalata, and we randomly ran into Horrible in there. (Also, to those of you who might buy: I recommend downloading Counter Strike: Source along it, since gmod depends on textures from other games, such as that.)

Anyways, physics sandboxes are sexy, especially when valve games get tied in.
