Since Technic is out for 1.2.5 I decided to play with this modpack.
I disabled cheats, slightly customized minimap, installed flat bedrock mod and slinghtly increased IC2 Nuke strength
Seed for map is Araidian (hahaha its as awesome as our Lucario XD)

I play on peaceful difficulty now.

Lots of pictures!

Spawn is just beautiful: Lots of tress, beach, ocean at center of world (it start at this spawn),
volcano behind (I named it Dagon XD), oil and rubber 100 meters from spawn and A LOT of resources in cave right under spawn.

I decided to make quickly hidey hole, its noob-class XD

I was doing ordinary mining shaft, and then I got directly into epic cave system, which connects to ravine.

I got too many items just after one trip: (NEI is in recipe mode - cant cheat)
That green dust is for repairing low-valuable items.
Crystal are from Thaumcraft 2 mod (you can haunt zombies for their brains for speeding up research / boosting enchanting stuff XD (powerpill mode anyone?))

Its one of many new ores - redpower 2 sapphire on this picture
Sapphires, emeralds and rubies are good substitutes for diamond stuff.

I also can make nuke.

I found Taint! Hope it won't expand!

I made room directly under my new house for IC2/EE2/RedPower2 machinery.

My old n00b house is now mineshaft.

DIAMONDS!!!

Early EE2 stuff: Philosophers Stone and Transmutation Table.
First one is used to transmute iron into diamonds (and some other basic transmutations)
Latter is used to transform all raw materials into other raw materials (Cobble to cookies! DIRT TO DAIMONDS!!!)

I'm baking sticky resins (they are sticky as Tamrawr and some other Minecrafters XD) into rubber, basic material for Industrial Craft 2 (one of top-level stuff here is Quantum Suit, 100% damage reduction!)
My skin is that Quantum Suit.

Equivalent Exchange 2 adds EMC (Energy-Matter Credit) value to most of vanilla stuff and to some items from other mods, mostly ores.
The higher EMC, the more precious item is. Cobble, dirt, stone has EMC of 1, Lava Survival Currency cookies - 24, iron - 256, diamond - 8096, RMcraft (Red Matter ) - somewhere around OVER 9000 466,944 EMC

Why were you baking sticky's you should extract them i'm sure its like 3 rubber for one that way.

And as for your collector/relay/condenser pattern i have a condenser surrounded by 4 mk3 relays surrounded by 8 mk3 collectors with glowstone above its its giving me a red matter every 10 mins or so. took ages to set up but well worth it.

and that flying ring is handy too 0 fall damage especially.

I didn't had machines at that time.
And I can create spamload sticky's from Transmutation Tablet.

I just made Destruction Catalyst XD, I'm now working with IC2 for now and using EE2 as speed booster.
That flying ring is still far - I need good supply of EMC in some high-level klein star.

I learned my Transmutation Table all items, that I could create now and had EMC value

I made Alchemical Chest, and talisman, that auto-repairs your stuff.

Its one of many oil deposits (I discovered 6 now.)

Thaumcraft "holy" tree - they exist in chunks with high aura (good magic) rating.

My IC2 machinery, from left to right: generators (charcoal powered, cheapest fuel XD), batbox - it stores 40000 EU - I need to have safe supply of energy XD, macerator - it essentially doubles your ore output, extractor - good for getting resins and compressor - you can throw stack of coal and get diamond!
But EE2 is faster - just convert your fuels to gunpowder, craft TNT from it, and transmute it to diamonds (stack of coal = one diamond too)

Macerator inside. Nether Ores have quadraple output of ores - macerating stack of nether iron ore will give you 4 stacks of iron dust!
That essencially means you can transform nether gold ore into diamond!
Nether gold ore -> 4 gold dust -> 1 diamond (dusts have equal EMC with ingots)

You know what is better than macerator? 4 macerators! I can mine so much ores, that I need 4 of them!

4 macerators and extractor consumes around 9 EU per tick (180 EU per second)
Copper cable can carry 32EU/t at max, more will melt it.
EU is Energy Unit - just like our electricity.

EDIT:
After I macerated ores, I started to ramp up on EMC hunger XD
Created energy condenser, antimatter relay (lol still running coal in IC2) and energy collector.

It has highest EMC of all stuff, that I made by now.
Klein Star Zwei (MK II) can hold up to 200 thousands of EMC, it finished charging.
Now I look on all ores, as they were food.

I started to experiment with Mystcraft.
I made like 10 or 20 books to get runes to create Miners Heaven.

That happens if you give 5 runes of "Dense Ores" and Bright Lighting.
You see that is Heaven!
Bedrock is flat, because I installed into Technic Flat Bedrock Mod (simple but AWESOME mod)

Keeping abusing "FUSRODAH spell" with destructive catalyst item.
Its ingredients contains alchemical TNT!
That black blocks are the Decay, it indicates that Mystcraft Age is tearing apart itself!

Holes are appearing everywhere on ocean....

I had to return, because I had full inventory and alchemist bag!
That was enough of stuff to ramp up with EE2 mod to the top!

This is Klein Star MK 4, it can hold up to 3.2 MILLIONS of EMC!
Behind is small matter generator MK I

So there goes my RMcraft (Red Matter craft XD)
I made most expensive item in EE2 - Red Matter furnace!
It basically obsoletes IC2 furnaces and macerators.

I sliced and diced cobblestone to pieces, stack of cobblestone is equal to 32 stacks of these pieces, then I put it into these recyclers, to get around 4 stacks of scrap, it can be made into ~28 scrap boxes.
Right-clicking them may give interesting stuff, like gold or even diamonds.

I made this talisman, but I upgraded my tools to Dark Matter ones after short time (Mystcraft keeps accelerating EE2 stuff OVER 9000 times!)

Nothing can resist my black hole hunger for EMC....

I was even able to make high level Klein Star!

RM furnace speed is around 1337 times faster than standard cobble one XD

I managed to overload RM Furnace!
Everything that gets smelted goes to Alchemical Chest and gets converted into Red Matter!
I place Void Ring inside of it XD
I managed to produce Klein Star Omega!

I'm now using mostly EE2 mod, I pretty much forgot what is resource scarcity by now XD
Its collection of best mods. There is mo'creatures mod and inside of it are CATS!
There are Redpower and Computercraft, to make world like it was in 21st century, but I don't use them, besides basic - too complex XD

And there goes 64x90x64 of rock and ores!

16 Alchemy Bags were pretty hard to fill up them all.
Now I throw all stuff into 2 Red Matter furnaces.
There is Void Ring, that converts everything into Red Matter!
Looks like I will have at least 10 stacks of it :D

Nice to be at my wooden home, BTW I upgraded golden chests to crystal chests!
They are best chest in this modpack.

All ores and stone, that I mined out, got converted into Red Matter!

FINALLY! Now all items that have EMC value, are now learned by transmutation tablet!

Lava Survival? I just simply don't survive lava, I use it for energy generation!
In meantime I was making all Power Rings stuff.

ACHIEVEMENT GET: Finished EE2 mod! Now I'm in true CREATIVE MODE!
But still I'm easy to shoot down

Now I can focus on IC2 mod and get hyper-awesome Quantum Suit!
And I wont suffer lack of materials for loooong time XD

18 geothermal generators are outputting energy to 3 MFE's (can hold 600 THOUSANDS EU
That brown box is LV transformer, so my machines won't blow, while using that power.

There are my 3 advanced machines: Rotary Macerator, Singularity Compressor and Centrifuge Extractor. These 4 machines stacked on each other are recyclers.

EDIT:

I decided to make Nuclear Reactor, but then canceled it - I went to make use of Lava God powers and make Geothermal Plant.

I decided to build 100 Geothermal Generators... I have too many items thanks to EE2

Generators finished. They can output up to 2000 EU per tick, but I'll limited it to 512 for energy efficiency. (I'm "green" - I didn't scratched surface by much!)

Lava God under action! 2000 EU/tick from lava! (though its supposed to work at 512 EU/tick)

That happens if you are power hungry. Luckily I backup-ed my safe (replaced HV Pneumatic Generator to highest one, EV - it drew too much power and conductive pipe blew up)

These machines on bottom are MFSU, stores 10 MILLIONS EU and Mass Fabricator - it created UU-matter (its used to make iridium, which is used to make quantum suit, you need 4.375 stacks of UU-matter to make full set of suit.)

I was updating my thread every day.

I decided to automate this process with Buildcraft. Now all I need to do, is supply crystal chest with dirt (EE2 Energy Condenser doesn't play nicely with Buildcraft )
Dirt goes to highly upgraded Recycler, then scrap goes under floor to feed Mass Fabricator.

That pink blob is UU-matter, Mass Fabricator uses 512 EU/tick, which is ~25% of what my Geothermal Plant can output. (I used these Buildcraft transformers to control how much of power is used.)

After some time I managed to get enough UU-matter to create White Matter Iridium Ore.

Iridium Ore is used to create very precious stuff - Iridium Plate (Your diamonds are cheap as redstone in Technic Pack after you beat EE2 mod)

Wooohoooo! IndustrialCraft is finished! Thaumcraft and Zombies, YOU ARE NEXT!!!!
Quantum Suit makes you immortal (100% damage reduction, I can live in lava, space, next to exploding supernova, deep under ocean and what not) with EE2 rings you are INVINCIBLE,

Lava God, thank you for your lava - I made Quantum Suit with it. (@Araidian your god may not be able to protect you for a while)

Next mod: THAUMCRAFT! And I simply don't Survive from Zombies, I hunt down them for BBRRRAAIINNNSSS!!! (They get some bonuses to magic research XD)
These crystals are from Thaumcraft and this wizard floor is under my home as my EE2 small RM generator and IC2 EU Generator.

EMC Generator and Thaumcraft Air Filter (silverwood with blue leaves) - they boost local aura.

I made my research station along with that blue air filter XD

I decided to create mystcraft age, which servers me as mob spawner - its dark as it can!
AND I CAN ABUSE MY POWER HERE!!!

It works only for single player. There is option to show entities in minimap options.
Press M (default key) to get these options.

Equivelant Exchange 2 + IndustrialCraft 2 + Thaumcraft 2 = these pictures
Stuff on hotbar is from EE2, that white sturdy armor is from IC2 (its my skin too) and these stuff on GUI, like purple bars or stars on top are from Thaumcaft 2. Flying Carpet too.

Its forced to circle in circles through advanced vis filters, and its slowly destroyed.
That light substance to the right is Vis - noble liquid, its used to make good stuff.

EDIT: I'm going to nuke this map, as it was end of the world.
Just need to convert map (automatic process) then replace borked level.dat file.

So I decided to make time machine to Primordia.....
There were some unexpected results as Taint being much more volatile, I was able to place decay and destroy Adminium.

3... 2... 1.... NUKE WENT BOOM!!!
A wild Decay has appeared, omnomnomning Primordia.

This building was unlucky - it was first one to get griefed by Decay... wait, its hovering by one block! ENGAGING DESTRUCTION CATALYST!!!!!!

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Decay eats Bedrock too!

Now its much larger hole!

You can't make better enchanting table - its best possible setup in Thaumcraft.

Finally I made that hi-teh solar panel (generates 512 EU/tick)
Resources used? Not much. Time used? hour or two - thats due to lack of automation.
It used like 3 millions of EMC from Klein Star Omega, but it can hold 52 millions EMC!

I made my machines in more compact form. That cable draws power from 18 geothermal generators and 1 High Voltage Solar Array.
