Update: Steam version is up, and it's totally free to download!
AirMech takes me back to the PSX days of Future Cop: LAPD and Army Men. It's a free, small download and is very addictive.
You control a jet or helicopter that can transform into varied mechs, and can build forces used to defend or attack. The basic game mode is two factions (AI and/or players) fighting for supremecy. You must capture factories and bases for faster build-time and income until you can destroy the enemy base. Capturing bases and killing units gives you xp to upgrade yourself.
There are several game modes, such as survival, and each game you play gains you karma, which can be spent to change your craft, pilot, and gather new shiny units.
It would be fun to get some games going with our fellow Blocktopians so check it out, and feel free to message me here or on Steam to play c:

I really liked it at first, but it started to feel as if you needed to pay to get better stuff, cause kudos(I think that is right) isn't very common.
There is some truth to that. You begin without a money maker, power gen, any late game unit and there is a blatant upgrade of the starting Patcher (albeit a tad more costly in-game). However, you start with the basic infantry, Longhorn tank and turret, which are the bread and butter for even the most experienced player's build.

If you aim to complete the challenges and join some rounds of co-op Survival, you will be able to save enough kudos to purchase the important items. I have paid real money for diamonds, but have only used them cosmetically. I had secured every unit I wanted before paying, including the Goliath tank. That being said, a lot of the game boils down to unit management and ability. Keep your units alive. Also, you start with the best dogfighter mech, so practise hunting down enemy mechs.

Edit: While I'm here, I should update the thread. The Steam version has been out for some time, factions have been added, more units, pilots and mech variants as well.
