If you wanted to get lynched then why are you telling us about your plans? We're obviously 'not' going to vote for you now since you claimed civi and you want to get the game moving. All this has done is set us back. It's easy to make a mistake like that so I vote for balloon.
I think balloon is trying to bluff his way out of his mistake and that is why I'm voting for balloon

It is so obvious. The player, as well as the person he was discussing or talking too when this sentence came up would bring suspicion to both parties. This is what shawnachu did last game, and it was kind of obvious.
I don't think a Mafia team would actually do this, if Balloon really is Mafia. It's just such a large risk, with a very, very, very tiny chance of being successful.

What I think: I don't entirely believe Balloon is Mafia. The signs are just too obvious. However, if he is Mafia: he is most likely doing this to loose suspicion on the person he was previously talking to: which I believe was Darth, though I am not certain about that since his statement really did come out of the blue.

However!: The more prominent idea that I feel is going on in this circumstance, is that Balloon is really Mafia. A plan was put forth: try and put suspicion on another player in order to lynch them. Going on who I believe Balloon was talking to: Darth, Balloon referred to him as "Godfather." This could instantly be assumed that Darth is suspicious, which I do not believe. This theory is also a bit of an opposite opposed from the previous theory I stated, where this is to not give suspicion on Darth, and make him appear more town-sided.

Both can be true. There is an even greater chance that both theories are false.

Besides that, I feel that Balloon's defense was extremely terrible as a means to end the day. A town-sided player lynching off themselves just to make the day end is stupid, as it just lessens the chance of survival for other town-sided players. With this decision, you basically just gave yourself up and gave a free kill, and gave a free night so the Mafia can just target another person. It doesn't add anything to the game besides... possibly a day or 2 (real life time) speed up.

I'm voting for Balloon. There is a greater chance he is Mafia, as I do not believe a true town-sided player would make such a move. I suggest the cop investigate Darth however just to clear up the other theory / possibility I mentioned. Although, that decision is entirely up to the cop if he chooses not to, and investigate someone else.
I also do not believe Dessern, Paceboys, or Prizyms have any great evidence against them, so that also adds to my vote for a possible lynch of balloon. The Kraby vote was reasonable from Darth, as it very much was more of a test then an actual vote.

Let's look at it like this-
Why he would do it as mafia:
• It's a form of WIFOM. That is, balloon is trying to make us believe he is town by trying to get lynched. After all, why would he slip so obviously? He wants us to believe mafia wouldn't be so stupid, and that he is actually town. He continues to try to lure us out of lynching him with the taunts such as "It's going as planned", but he forgets I am not an jesting jester.

Oh god. You really miss alot when an illness takes you out for the weekend. I'm really missing why balloon was on the chopping block in the first place but even in the last few pages it really looks like he is mafia Balloon98 . I think dessern is doc at this point and the cop should investigate someone else. I don't want to waste him in my first game where he didn't die cycle one. That other lead I mentioned is maturing but still needs more time.

Defiant_Blob I said since the game was at a stall that i wanted to do this so it kept going since nothing was happening. So I decided to do this.

Now maybe you guys will play after my death. Also it wasn't supposed to be a cover up for Darth or Dess it was just to make sure you guys thouhgt I was "mafia"

Also I am insulted a little you guys think I am that stupid to write that on accident but meh who cares I mean I can be pretty dumb.

I was already at a no lynch vote. Also dessern having 5 votes isn't really a close to lynch. And yes I do pay attention to the votes but everyone keeps switching votes every 5 seconbs being "WAIT he is quiet he is mafia lynch him!!!" or picking to abstain then immediately go back to their old votes it was stupid. Even if my idea was stupid at least the game will actually go on without the longest first day ever in mafia so far. I am done talking and will not do so till my final words.

(good luck trying to lynch me I will just commit suicide by flying too high in the air)

I don't even know what to think anymore.
Balloon trying to get himself voted off just to move the game along does not appear like a good move in any respect, because again: it gives the Mafia an extra kill, and another free night to kill whomever they want. At least being alive will give the town more time to discover, discuss, and other means to find the Mafia during the day, and their power-roles at night. So why kill yourself off? A No Lynch, actually, any decision to Lynch or not would move the game along just as fine, without the need for a "self lynch". At least in those other cases, we can use actual evidence / suspicion in the process of lynching.

I still can't help having this nagging feeling in the back of mind that this is all a mistake.
But this whole situation just seems just... feels like some sort of trap. I keep thinking this whole idea of a self-lynch was just to sort of whip us up into a frenzy or confuse us on who to lynch, or perhaps to hide other Mafia members from the town's sight due to this strange move.

I am only abstaining for now because I am a bit confused on whom to vote on, especially when this whole situation basically came out of the blue.
It seems so obvious a trap for the Mafia to lead into: yet, I am not certain still.
I think we should take a step back, abstain possibly for a few moments until we can clear our heads of bit because we basically rushed into this situation. Once that's all done, we can make a more rational decision.
I may just return to my previous idea of a No-Lynch in the end if we don't actually get far enough for a lynch-off.
