I hope this post finds you in good health, and that you are having a good day, as you read this! Now, on with the matter at hand!
As you may be aware, we ask for your date of birth when you sign up to the forums. Please check your profile and make sure your date of birth is set correctly. If it is not, you can get in touch with me through PM to correct it. (in most cases, this won't be an issue.)

Let me state this again, if your D.O.B isn't right, contact me through pm, (That means through the forum pm system. A message in IRC / in this thread won't get noticed. To whomever messaged me in IRC, try again through the forums) Also, for the love of god, give me your proper date. Don't just go "Oh it's like I'm like 156 years older, could you like fix it?" Cos I hate doing math, damnit.

Giving us false information WILL come back to bite you in the rear side if a problem arises, because we don't appreciate being lied to. When a problem arises, seeing as this is the internet, we tend to assume malicious intent, if we find we've been given false information at some point. So, I'm asking you this not just to make things easier on us, but also to help yourself out should a problem arise at some point in the future.
There's recently been a few people with a fake D.O.B. that have gotten into trouble. This has caused some issues, and we tend to lock / moderate / prevent those people from using the forums, once the original issue caused is resolved.
Now, some of you may ask why we do this, so I'll make a quick recap: We do this for Three reasons.
1: We, as a rule, don't tend to allow young ones under 11 to sign up. (Because frankly, we're at times inappropriate for a lot of people younger then that, and we want a certain level of maturity in our members.)
2: It gives us an indication of the level of maturity we can expect if there is an issue. I don't approach a 12 year old the same way I do a 16 year old.
3: Boring stuff so we have a safety net in case of a serious issue.
And that's pretty much it.
So please check your date of birth. Even if it's not set to show your age on your profile, head staff can still access it to check if needed... so don't think that will save your bacon.... mmmmhmmmm... bacon....
