I don't want to be rude but why do all these teleports have to looks so ugly (like someone thrown up some blocks)? It would look much better if it was thematically colored. Like a subway station/airport where you pick your destination, maybe sort of a Lambda themed lab with teleports (teleports, get it?), maybe sort of a mini preview of the world you're about to enter in front of a teleport. So you can visually decide where to go without even need to read the info text boards...

Nobody who isn't head staff had any idea that this would happen (I think), so I don't think anyone would have been able to build an attractive spawn for this as soon as it opened.

It bothers me quite a lot that the portals aren't aligned with the center part of the lobby. But I can see that it's a work in progress as I see the Directors working on new portals right now. Aside from that-- I think the idea of a lobby is quite nice so players can talk and all that mess.

What bugs me the most is when the players "leave the game" bit-- I think that the players that "left" have moved on to a different world. Is it possible to say what server the player has gone into instead of saying that they "left"?

I think that making the portal areas represent what their respective servers are would be a great idea.

Also... Is there a way of knowing if a server is full or not? I keep going into the Buildbox portal and it says that it's full.

I think the idea of a lobby is great since there is now a central point where all servers and it's player collide. I think it's good for a community to have such a mechanism that makes it feel more like one thing as a whole. For example, I know very little people from the classic Lava Survival server, even though it's the same community! That's probably because the servers are separate, which is in this case perfectly solved with a central lobby for the premium servers. That's why I like it.

Just a note on managing waypoints for Rei's minimap, you could label them for each server, then turn the ones off you don't want when playing a different server. This could be done in the lobby anyway and as long as you aren't constantly swapping servers, it shouldn't be that much of a problem. Not only that, waypoints should only really be nescessary for JtE and BB, as the constant changing of maps for RoF and AoD would make waypoints pretty hard to use anyway.

Potential Problem:
  • If something shizzes up in the Lobby world/server (and crashes) then none of the other servers will be open? Not sure how this whole thing works, so I'm not sure how prone it is to crash. Just something to think about.

Potential Suggestions:
  • Add some fun parkour area or something. This lobby is a great step to enable socialising between the servers and this could give people a reason to stay and chat!
  • Not sure if this is possible... but some sort of sign in-front of each portal showing how many people are in the server at the given time. That's one of the main disadvantages there is right now!

Could you work it so that when we log back into the server it doesn't load us at the portal which we last were in? I have gotten stuck in one before and constantly went to JtE before I knew about /server rof,bb,jte, aod

Took some nice photos of the lobby parts. Thought GmK might appreciate them :)

Rituals of Fire portion:

Journey to Elysium portion:

BuildBox portion:

Army of Darkness portion:

I vote we use these
