OK. AS A LONG LONG TIME ARAM PLAYER I'M GOING TO POST MY THOUGHTS WITHOUT HATE FOR A SECOND.
Long ago we played against Mundo every few games. this resulted in that team winning, no matter who it was, no matter what the enemy champions were, Mundo won. Mundo is an immovable object you can not dislodge and his E steroid and Q slow makes him too powerful on a small map. I imagine he would be even stronger with League of Warmogs. Blitzcrank was the same way, however he wasn't an immovable force in the same way Mundo was. With Blitzcrank, he couldn't die in the heat of battle and could escape because of his shield and the small map. Blitzcrank never made any fight fair with his initiations winning the game.
Master Yi. I'm not in favor of banning Yi but I guess I can't stop you. Master Yi is strong, sure - but what counters Master Yi? Firstly, you could get MR - that's what people always do against him and I'm mostly reciting bullshit from GD, so onto my next point: He heals. A lot. And instead of crying about it, how about you ignite him since you knew he was picked from the start? If you have MF or Tristana, even better. The biggest argument about Master Yi being banned is not those two things however, from what I can tell, it's because he can hit just about everyone because of his Q. This does sound anti-fun on the surface, but how many champions do we know do this? Darius has a stupid as fuck pull, which is shorter range, but he's tankier and withstands damage to reach them. Diana does the same but she can escape with her shield unlike Master Yi. Not only does this show Master Yi has better counterparts, but also that there is counterplay. If you don't group up like silly's, he can't hit all of you. Secondly, you also have pro shield/heal saves that make everyone in the channel go wild, and who doesn't like those?
Nidalee. Hells no, don't ban her. Why is this even a consideration? Sure, her spears are deadly, especially late game, but is it harder to dodge because it's one lane? No. When you fight Nidalee you're always in some sort of lane and this is no different. If it's a good Nidalee does that mean you could have potential trouble? Yes, but that doesn't mean we outright ban the champion, especially since I don't see any of you play her outside of ARAM. There are also minions to block her spears which increases your survival chances. Nidalee's cougar form can do a lot of damage, but no one can argue that it's not balanced. Let's just say - would you ban Janna?
"Thresh is like Blitzcrank." No he isn't. His pull has a windup time and doesn't have quite the same impact as a Blitzcrank pull. Not only this but Blitzcrank has a shield and tons of mobility, Thresh does not. Thresh just is not as anti-fun as Blitzcrank and falls under the same category as Nidalee - good spears/players may help win a game tremendously, but it's not something to be banned.
