Everything was going well until I rushed tier 3 boots.

Xypherous: I just pulled this from the 3.7 patch.
While we want to do things to Shyvana – she just isn’t testing well enough for us to be confident in shipping her in 3.7. We know that ‘E’ feels lackluster and that her ‘R’ could be cooler, we’re just playing around with what specifically.
So, Shyvana will stay as she is for some time.

Alright, I think at this point, it's pretty clear we need to put some effort into Xerath. I'll be joining the live design team for a little while and putting my time into figuring out the best path to take Xerath down.
The initial kit I'm going to try will be something like this:
Q) Still the line nuke
W) Now a 2-charge ammo version of his ultimate [damage adjusted to compensate]
E) Something that results in CC
R) Siege Mode, but with a longer cooldown and better range.
I'm still concerned that there isn't quite enough to do while planted down in the ground. What do you think? What is enough to keep you busy but not just pop into siege mode to land a Q or W and abort?

If it's in RP you typically want to buy skins always (You'll thank me later) If it's IP I'd suggest buying someone like Kayle. However, Amumu has some good basic mechanics it would do well to pick up on early, I'm not sure how experienced you are and jungling is a challenge for even the most skilled players
well jungle eve is an easy starter up jungler for me (even though she is a mid laner)
- Gank the closest lane that is in trouble, if a lane is getting owned try to help out other lanes more. Most of the time the lane gets snowballed so hard that the snowballing person can 2v1 the laner and the jungler.
- If you're not healthy enough to gank clear out the jungle camps near you then recall.
- Be sure to always grab a ward or 2 when you back and ward their blue/red if you want to steal it or just ward the entrances to your jungle so you know when you're getting counterjungled.
- Don't give your mid laner blue if he/she dies too much.
- Tell your laner to play safe if he's getting beat in lane.
- When you're killing jungle creeps don't mindlessly stare at them, unlock your camera and look around the map.
- Ping retreat if you see the enemy jungler coming to gank or try to counter gank.
- Don't be afraid to use your smite because of the low cooldown but don't use it if you know you're gonna need it soon for baron/dragon.
- Lend your mid/top laner EXP from the jungle creeps if they are in a tough lane.
- You can use the top/bot brushes for a lane gank, just walk into them if their minion wave is pushed back.
- Your core items on any jungler should be: Spirit of the XXX, depending on your champion, Bulwark and Locket. If you and your support are both getting bulwark that's fine because it stacks on both of you.
- Boots of mobility are surprising good on most junglers since you'll be moving through the jungle most of the time.
