Alright, so, I'm sorry I haven't been able to get around to actually make a post to really discuss anything; there has been quite a few interruptions thanks to school activities, upcoming finals, being sick all weekend, and whatnot.
Hopefully I am able (as I must restart this entire post ) to make this current post a somewhat meaningful and/or worth while.
However, despite myself not posting (anything meaningful) thus far today, I am EXTREMELY surprised that there has been practically this little discussion since the start Day 3. I mean really, out of the, what, 12 people still in the game that nobody has an opinion on the fact that Kylie died, or that two of the killing-enabled power roles did not in fact kill someone off tonight? There's TWELVE of us, and we can really not even say at least a small amount of suspicions or discussion based on the previous nights events? C'mon people, there is something WRONG with this picture.
...Anyways, first off:
Okay, digitalmez confirmed not mafia(this was not my investigation) She was struck again this night, but lived. This also confirms that day 1 the doctor saved her. May be either the last remaining elite civilian or Skeletonserial killer
So we have five people that are confirmed not the mafia. Me, HarmakPaul, Defiant_Blob, digitalmez, and JKangaroo.
I dislike this.
I believe I have already stated this, and despite it really being my opinion, I do believe it is something that should be considered.
No, none of these people are "Confirmed" non-Mafia members in the slightest.
They are not "confirmed," rather, they are merely people whom YOU believe to not be Mafia as of this moment.
This is not facts, they are an opinion, for roles can only ever be fully "confirmed" when x-player is dead, and the games host reveals said role. All other times, we have to put the trust in BELIEVING they are not mafia.
They cannot be "confirmed."
Although I am fairly certain digi is not an anti-town role, there is still always the chance of it being otherwise.
I don't believe (and again, this is personal opinion) that just because she happened to survive two nights of being attacked that this makes her "confirmed" as non-Mafia.
In fact, it can only be assumed that digi was in fact attacked tonight because it was in the story.
This was also the case on Day 1 when digi was attacked again (although that time it did say she was attacked). Because of these story-posts, as it appears that is how we are assuming digi was attacked tonight, that from post cases that digi was saved by the doctor, seeing all the references to medicine saving her.
If this is truly the case, then Digi can be... essentially any role really.
Being saved by the doctor can make her the doctor, normal or elite civ, serial killer, Mafia, Independent, and whatnot.
If anything, this doesn't "confirm" anything.
However, I do agree in that digi is not apart of the Mafia, and I'm not going along with a lynch on digi should such a lynch (which I doubt) occurs in the future.
((But, @digi, you still haven't explained why you think storm and Alpha were suspicious >.<))
I'm highly suspicious of Alpha and Storm. Reasons to come...
Plus, although at the moment I am fairly certain you can be trusted as the cop Alpha, I do, and I'm fairly certain the majority of people probably will always be wary of, that despite you investigating both me and Harmak as civilians, we can, as well as any other investigated "civilian," can still be considered a possible Godfather role.
This is why I like this:
I trust alpha more than I do JK at the moment although I still hold my doubts on him even after his claim. As they see keep your friends close but your enemies closer I guess.
Good!
Mafia is a game on trust and skepticism, and as we cannot necessarily determine many roles right away, and despite particular role-claims, we should always keep a healthy skepticism on the topic, because we can NEVER fully know until once again, said person is killed off from either a lynch, or during the night.
We should remain skeptical, we should not "confirm" people. So keep rocking that skepticism on me Dessern, because that'll make your rationale better in the end when it comes to votes during the day-cycle.
However, despite this, I have been, for awhile, reading back and forth between particular posts by Defiant, and really, at the moment, I can't decide between being disappointed, and extremely confused now.
I HAD SUCH A GOOD IDEA NOOOOOOOO
I'm the lyncher. Hockey was my target. I'll be blue from here on.
Or mafia.
Whatever.
Do note that I'm more valuable alive, since I count as a town role.
Well, that was the point. I was trying my best to not seem like the lyncher. I had originally planned to claim Lyncher with someone else as my target that was dead.
Okay anyways, I voted kylieanna to do a reaction test, which in my opinion she passed. I want to hear why it is a good idea to lynch her as she seems, well, cleared to me.
Because Kylieanna is my lyncher target.
Nice WIFOM guess, but Hockey really isn't my target lol Want to guess again Alpha? If the cop really IS revealed the target upon investigating them?
Look at this.
No, seriously, what is this nonsense.
You know, I actually pretty much agreed wholeheartedly by the end of the last day with Alpha on the idea that you pretty much could be the lyncher, because though I still tried to keep that skepticism, the idea seemed to be a definitely or likely possibility.
Yet... Suddenly this sudden "spark" of randomly voting over Mario for no reason once again struck that coord of you not really bringing up anything useful to the discussion unlike the good gameplay you procured in past seasons.
In fact, because of this, I've essentially pretty much tried to ignore many of your posts based on how you've played so far and Season 5.
Yet, however, that one incident, and me having to go back and actually read what happened during the night (since being sick makes you forget a lot of important things), pretty much made me see a bunch of these...
Lies.
Defiant, ever since you role-claimed back on Day 2, well, pretty much EXACTLY at the beginning of Day 2, you have essentially been spewing us lies about yourself as a role, and have not assisted in the choice of votes at all.
- First, you tell us Hockey is your target (that seemed really convenient dontcha think?) whom just happened to die the previous night, (and again, you state this practically DIRECTLY after Day 2 begins)
- Then, you decide to go ahead and say that Hockey was never your target in the first place, but rather that of Kylie whom JUST happened to be under fire from Alpha at the time. (another convenient opportunity for you, "lyncher")
- HOWEVER, this all comes back around to near the beginning of day 2 where you (and this is the 2nd quote by Defiant I show above) in which, thanks to Alpha for this idea:
I think he means he would have lied on day 1. Like saying Marn(who died) was his target on day 1 and proceeding to talk about hockeyfan.
This is actually an idea I actually vividly see you attempting Defiant after past encounters on the Mafia stage.
You, who, happens to be lyncher, and Marn(
as an example), who just previously died the other night, so happens to die, thus, you, the lyncher, whom had chosen Marn as your target, can supposedly "no longer win," decide to share your role and somehow get a majority to trust in this.
This however, comes back around to you previously to your FIRST lyncher-claim in which you said Hockey was your target.
Under the guise of being the lyncher with your target already dead and proceed to try and get Hockey to be lynched (which I believe you were actually trying to do, because there was suspicion on him because of that Notty / Storm / Hockey debacle, and not just saying it was a "test")
Yet, that second quote just shows that once again, you would have been LYING based on your lyncher-target claims, and it seems, we cannot trust you at all based on these other claims you have made thus far.
Because, how do we know you AREN'T LYING at this very moment? Hiding under our noses?
What I once had for you to be very small and mild skepticism that most likely would have died away over the course of this day, thanks to rereading through some of Day 2, that skepticism exploded into fully fledged suspicion, because you know what,
I NO LONGER BELIEVE IN YOUR ROLE CLAIM.
As it stands, now that I am seeing this in this light, I believe I should have voted along with many for you on the previous day, however, I will not make that mistake again and as of this moment,
I am voting to lynch Defiant_Blob.
You are clearly not being truthful with us Defiant, and honestly, it seems like acting silly with these meaningless votes to lynch people without any evidence just seems to drive my suspicion higher; a perfect way to drive attention away from yourself by providing silly enough discussion
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Other than that, I would like to hear more from a number of players regarding anything about the game really, because there has actually been a large number of people not entirely participating to a degree.
- Musta: You actually did a really nice job on Day 1, and I think you tend to add a nice outlook on the discussion, but you just need a lil' more man, because you seem to have some nice opinions which I'm interested in.
- Dillon, Jeff, and Vati: Although I know you did a nice job defending yourself near the beginning of the day Dillon, nothing really came out of you near the middle/end of the discussion (that I remember reading anyways), but Jeff and Vati, I really haven't seen anything out of you guys, and your normally a (somewhat?) talkative player vati.
