Minecraft Survivor Game Show

People of blocktopia why don't we host a game show based on the actual tv show Survivor. It may have been discussed before I don't no. A popular minecraft youtube channel has done a 3 seasons of it and it was a success, they were sponsored by Asus and real life prizes were won. So why don't we do one, get the best builders out there to build us an awesome map and design awesome challenges. There would be 2 teams of maybe 5 contestants. They would have to build there camp find resources and food to survive. Then challenge time, losing team would go to tribal council, where someone would go home. There would be a hidden immunity idols around the map. We could the hosts of the show to record and put it on youtube. I could see this being a huge success if it was to happen. Tell me your thoughts.

BT already has 4 premium servers and they are running on new dedicated servers (which takes a lot of money even with advertising and donations, just my estimation most likely I am wrong).

But this idea could be an event on either JtE or AoD or RoF. I love the idea and I support it so good luck with it

Anyway nice idea... but I don't think they will make such server, unless they are creating A+T.
Then your idea could exist as A+T map.

It stands for 'Adventure and Tournaments'. It was a server that used to be run, until it was closed down, for some reason. Faulty, laggy plugins maybe? I dunno.

We have a server that is being brought back soon, and there are speculations that it may be A+T! :D

If my history serves me correctly, A&T was shut down because of a terrible bug in which whenever someone logged on the server crashed.

I think this would be best as a temporary private server which wouldn't even have to be hosted by blocktopia if we could get administrator approval .

Well that could be a possibility, if you got administrator approval. I just don't know if that will happen

Honestly, this only sounds like a typical survival server with a designated amount of individuals.

The main objective of Minecraft is to survive, besides from the elimination - this idea isn't really too unique or interesting. Also, I don't know how you could possibly institute roleplaying into a server where not everyone is on at the same time.

I just cannot see this working out - what happens when you get voted off the server? You cannot play any further? I think that would really not have a good playerbase.

Like ZP said, if this were to happen, I think it would only be suitable for an event.

Yea if you get eliminated your off the server, and with the players not being in at the same time, you would obviously set specific dates and everyone who makes it must be able to be on at that time. And after a couple of challenges and other things, turn the server off until the next specific date

I think the best would be to ask superstein about a event happening on Elysium.

You do if you want mass sign ups from this community otherwise u could just advertise at some random point on the internet. At that point though it's not with the blocktopian community so there wouldn't be point discussing it on the thread.
