So now we can have nostalgia about MCNostalgia and MCVC is obsolete >:D (Yes, I was reading K1ngHowards status update)

I checked oldest versions, that were available.




Slightly earlier version - no human mobs - from 13rd May too. Also oldest in launcher.


This version is from 13rd May 2009.
It looks more like experiment.





Minecraft back then had only 5 days...


This one is so old, that TheOne didn't existed back then, and multiplayer was only in plans.
That version was released on 22nd May 2009.


I think, you can recognize this one. That version was released in late December (22nd?) 2009.
Running servers at this time: LS, CBuild.


That one is infdev, version from 18th June 2010.
Running servers at this time: LS, CBuild, ZS.


That version was released in 19th July 2010. It looks like someone mixed premium with classic (infinite maps, classic biomes).

That version was released on 23rd July 2010. First SMP server probably looked like this.
It looks like they were remaking multiplayer for premium.

They told on Twitter, that they are going to tinker around biomes in 1.7 snapshots.
So I think in 1.7 will be new terrain generation.

Alpha 1.2 "Halloween Update" already looks... familiar to newer users, while a1.1 looked like Classic with infinite maps and survival (infdev).
It was released at end of October 2010, and ended with a1.2.6 on 20th December.





Beta line has started 20th December 2010 and ended 18th November 2011.
Beta 1.0 was released on 20th December 2010.

Wow, versions are now much rarer now!

I was referring to the 2009 versions. Having problems with placing and destroying blocks in the versions before 0.30. :p
