Over the past few months I have been collecting and researching old-school Nintendo memorabilia and what has really gotten the majority of my attention is Nintendo's handheld line of gaming consoles, and because I am not a regular on any other "gaming forums" I am curious to know what the community here has to say about Nintendo's ever so dominate arsenal of portable gaming.

Had one of the big grey gameboy in the first picture and you know I had a Gameboy Advanced and DS lite :p also I think the Gameboy/DS Lite are my favorites that I've owned now if i had a Wii U...

Although personally, I'm akin to the Gameboy Advance SP, as it probably was one of the first gaming devices I ever owned (though I was able to play with some friends older gameboys before this), and the SP was just so much better than the original advance thanks to its backlight capabilities...

I just had to vote for the DS. When I specifically picked DS, I really voted for the DS line of consoles as a whole. (I'm surprised the DS came out only a year after the SP... somehow it felt longer than that. >.<)
The DS has been such a good (and fairly revolutionary for its time) console, and has had some great and interesting games, and its probably the console we are the most familiar with since its still going strong in the present.
The two screens and touchpad capabilities just make it so user-friendly.
They really did go overboard with how many different iterations of the original there are though. :/

I wonder what they'll do for their next line of Handhelds...
The one AFTER the DS, of course.

I had a hard time deciding between the Nintendo DS, The DSi and the 3DS.
I loved the nintendo DS because i grew up with it, All my nintendo games were played on that console, Also since it's both able to play DS and Gameboy games,
I loved the DSi Because it contained some of my favorite games that were only obtainable via the DSi Store, Viking Invasion, Oscar in toy land, BoxLife, And not to forget, not really a game but definitely my favorite application, Flipnote Hatena,
I only had a hard time deciding between the 3DS because i was part of the Ambassador program, (Ambassador program? Yes, the Ambassador program, The ambassador program was an action made by Nintendo because the 3DS was overpriced at first, They lowered the price, anyone who bought the overpriced 3DS had access to 20 Retro games, 10 for the NES and 10 for the Gameboy advance, The NES games would be available for all 1 month later, but the 10 Gameboy games were EXCLUSIVE, Those 10 gameboy advance games were:
Metroid fusion,
Legend of zelda the minish cap,
Wario land 4
Wario ware
Mario VS Donkey kong
Mario kart: Super circuit
Yoshi's land
Kirby and the amazing mirror
F-zero: Maximum velocity
Fire emblem: The sacred stones,
These were 10 exclusive games available for what can be considered free, The 3DS got me 20 free games in total, Aside from that, all i enjoyed was the upgraded Browser with had the ability to store cookies,
The 3D effect was just crap.

In the end i decided to take the DSi because today, when i see my Gameboy Advance, DS, DS Lite, DSi and my 3DS laying on the table in front of me, 9 out of 10 times i pick up my DSi.
