Adventure Time is set in a Post-Apocalypse setting. The protagonist is a boy named Finn, the last human in a world of beings that came into existence after the apocalypse. Together with his best friend, Jake the Dog, he picks up his sword and protects Princess Bubblegum (and others) from the Ice King (and others).
It's really funny, and yet suddenly the hilarious cartoon decides to give us heart attacks and the FEELS with beautiful friendships and what I swear has got to be one of the most angsty backgrounds in the world to Marceline and the Ice King (Simon Petrikov).
