Whenever I feel really depressed or angry, The Wake just lets all of my frustration out without me having to vent or anything. A very melodious and heavy album, definitely a great listen. I get my daily dose of it every day, at least the first track, which will have you hooked in an instant, only to be followed up by an even better second track.

The sixth track, Elbow of Zeus, is the quintessential 'metal song'; the sort of song that you immediately turn up right when it comes on.

This is the coolest thing.

Basically, this is music made by taping a blank, soundless vinyl record to a floor at a concert. The people at the concert will dance and stomp on the record, causing it to scratch. When the record is played, the scratches manifest as whole new sounds. A lot of it sounds fascinating - it's music created from destruction.
