please make the server 1.6.4

since the new minecraft update i haven't been able to play on blocktopia cause of my graphic card.


I was wondering that if maybe one day the server can be made to where you can join with 1.6.4 versions

I am not quite sure what your issu is, is 1.7 minecraft not compatible with your card, or do you simply lag too much?

I don't really see why the admins should do this for 2 reasons. 1: It takes time to update the servers. BuildBox took 10 hours to update. To downgrade would mean having to go through that again. 2: Inconvenience would be a problem. All the 1.7 blocks placed would be deleted. Many people would be angry at that. It is a good idea on the inside, but the costs outweigh the benefits.

If 1.7 doesnt start because it says your graphics card is old, it may be possible to bypass that check, I've done it before with my cousin's computer.

I don't see that happening. If you meant that the server itself should be 1.6.4, then it's never gonna happen. I don't think they're gonna downgrade an entire server just so you'd be able to enter it. If you meant that people with 1.6.4 clients should be able to enter the 1.7 server, then I'm just not sure if that's possible, I'd rather think it's not.

Sorry, but it seems you're going to have to upgrade your computer or find some other solution on your own if you want to keep playing.

Dude, that wont work, since you wouldnt be able to see all the new 1.7 stuff. If this worked it wouldnt be a need to update at all x)

I'm sorry, but Blocktopia isn't the group that caused this. Mojang (the developers of Minecraft) have decided they do not wish to support your graphics card any more. Unfortunately you will need to downgrade your version of Minecraft and play single player. :<
