Hello ladies and gentlemen, I am here today to suggest the making of a bot that can be used to allow players to donate TF2/Dota2/CS:GO items, which can be sold for money.
So I'll use TF2 as a example. As of now a key sells for around 1.7-1.9 USD, refined sell for around .3 USD, and a Tour of Duty ticket sells for around .8 USD? (rough estimates, if this catches steam I can get better, firm prices). Quite a decent amount! They can be sold to traders for Paypal money, giving Blocktopia more donation income.
Now, why would this be nice? The games mentioned will be staying around for a while, and will provide a firm source of income for Blocktopia. It makes it easier for people to donate who do not have a Paypal account, or even allow people who don't have much extra cash (like me
) to donate.
The cons? It would take a decent amount of time and effort to make the bot, and I myself have never made one. It would also take some time/effort to sell off the keys (would have to be done manually), and there is always the risk of scammers (NOTEWORTHY ON THAT: Whoever would deal with the selling of the items I could give a tutorial to, just about everything you'll need to know on how to spot a scammer).
Tl;dr a alternative way for people to donate to Blocktopia using Steam.
