Don't get a reply in 24hrs to win! (KingSam Memorial Game)

I was thinking this throughout the forum shutdown...
Even should someone have beat the 24 hour mark over the past day, it shouldnt really be considered a win, since it's, in a sense, sort of similar to locking the thread due to the forums essentially being down for a whole day, which in itself is a tad unfair to the other posters.
It would be more of a false, cheap win.
It would bring:
..At least that's how I would I see it.

The time is stopped if the forums are unavailable or if the thread is locked.
EDIT: @JKangaroo These were rules listed in the previous forums for the game by KingSam, saying that the 24 hour prize time for the post is temporarily stopped if the thread is unavailable to get to or if the thread is locked by an admin, as to rule out cheating.

The recent responses is extremely infuriating because in the context of my original post, they make no sense whatsoever, and in a sense, are useless.

how does the explanation of the timer stoppage have anything to do with the context of the original post, (that being of: I thought I had the last post before the shutdown, that's about it.) and how "that was what you were saying" in the response exactly? Since I am PRETTY SURE the explanation of the timer stoppage does not relate to anything I said in my original post?
Seriously, the recent string of resonponses to that SINGLE post make no sense to me in any respect.
And it is so bloody infuriating to read over since it feels like no one actually knows what they are saying!
It is extremely maddening and frustrating dealing with this. ;~;
