Unable to connect to lobby

i wasnt sure where to put this, so ill just put it here, could someone else put it in the right place please?

I am unable to join the lobby (just incase you didnt notice)
minecraft comes up with Internal exception: io.netty.handler.timeout.readTimeoutexception
iv tried waiting, and went to others servers, then came back, still not letting me in.

this may or may not (im guessing not) be related to me somehow placing the AOD sword from the compass into my inventory...
