If you’re lucky enough to both reside in the United States of America and own one of Nintendo’s fantastic handhelds, either a 3DS XL or a 2DS, then you’re in for a real treat.
Satoru Iwata must be going soft on you lot, as Nintendo are putting both Pokémon X and Pokémon Y up for download on their eStore for free.
The only catch, if you can call it that, is that you must register a both your handheld console as well as one of six games: Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Yoshi’s New Island, LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins, Super Mario 3D Land, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, and Mario Kart 7. The registration costs nothing, but is presumably in place to provide proof of ownership (and lets be honest, if you have a 3DS or 2DS and don’t own any of those six titles then you have bigger problems to worry about).
Upon registration you’re sent a download code and away you go! As the offer has not officially been released by Nintendo yet, you’ll have to wait until March before searching for it on the store. Sorry if we got your hopes up a little prematurely.
What makes this particular offer really stand out is because of the nature of the games. Not only is the Pokémon franchise absolutely huge and a real system-seller for Nintendo, but X and Y are the first Pokémon titles to be released on the 3DS and 2DS. What’s more, they were only released six months ago!
If you haven’t seen your way to checking out either of the landmark titles yet then you should be licking your lips in anticipation. If you already purchased it at full retail price six months ago…well…hopefully you’ve enjoyed the game?

Like what I said to Sp3ct3r_2k11 after he showed me this...
I really, REALLY don't like that article.
I feel like the author of this article is deceptive and misleading in his/her assumption of this promotion, and is kind of getting people's hopes up over (possibly, at least I think so) incorrect information.
I mean... if we go to the source they link in the article, they give us this picture:

These are promo cards that are supposedly going to be found in Toys R Us stores in the United States starting in March.
And... at least according to my observation, it doesn't say anywhere to "register" your game to get a free copy of X/Y...
Rather, it says you'll get a downloadable code for the one of your choosing IF you buy a 3DS(XL) + any of the following games.

That scenario seems more reasonable and is a common thing Nintendo often does with their games.
I really doubt Nintendo would just give away such a HUGE game just for free.

I don't like that article...
...But who can say if it's true or not since it's not even March yet. (though a lot of other websites are also saying its merely a "rumor" and have observed a similar status as what I said above, so I feel its more likely to be that >_>)

If I were to be a single-type focused trainer (ex: a Gym Leader) in the Pokemon Universe...
...I would definitely classify myself as a Water-type trainer, with Steel and Psychic being my other 2 options.

What pokemon-type would you train?

I find it strange that...
for almost all my previous years in life, I've only gotten the flu/sick for roughly 1-2 times per (school) year.
And yet, this school year I've hit a (personal) record breaking event of over 10+ times being sick... and I don't understand how it came to that!

And almost each bout of sickness only lasts for about 1 day...
Tis' strange.
