((Fiesta, you really need to watch where you're walking X3
She awakes floating on air. It's as solid as the earth below, and she knows, deep down inside, that it is so sturdy for her because she is the Guardian of Flight.
She sits up and spreads her pale gray wings, stretching. Hmmm, what was her name? She knows that she had...has one. She has to think about it for several minutes before she remembers- her name is Alouette. Lark. She smiles.
Alouette stands and looks down at the ground, making the air intangible once again with a wave of her hand. Hovering, she looks down at the ground and catches sight of many more humanoid figures. Whether they're hostile or not, she intends to find out- but maybe she could put it off for a little while longer. She sings out into the dark sky, hoping to see some of the birds she's always loved, but nothing appears... There aren't any winged animals here, at least not yet. Her gray eyes darken and she looks up, saddened. She's alone but for the other "humans"...
Perhaps one of them can tell her why the sky is so dark and where her friends have gone. She arches her wings and dives towards the ground, catching herself before she can get too close. She hovers a short distance above the ground, observing how the small group interacts, and slowly touches down, her feet light on the dry ground. She follows the others, staying just far away enough to remain unnoticed, twisting her fingers in her soft white gown as she watches them.
Alouette's eyes widen as she sees one of them- the one holding a ball of light in his hand- tumble into a large, deep hole, and almost without thinking, she sprints towards it and vaults after him, her wings only open enough to control her fall. She catches him under the arms and lifts him back out, stumbling slightly as she lands on the edge of the crater.
"Hello," she says, letting him go. "You should probably watch where you're walking from now on."
