Guardians of Corruption, Clouds, and Ground
Skri'ik nodded and entered the cave with Cyra, walking towards the source of the voice. The voice sounded like a young voice - younger than him, at least. He was curious to discover which guardian this was, or if it was even a guardian at all. And then, in the darkness of the cave, he sees a figure directly in front of him.
Young, just as expected. Curiously wearing goggles - could this pertain to his element? He looks confused... lost. "Salutations. I am Skri'ik, and this girl by my side-" he signals to Cyra "-is Cyra. Who do you happen to be, and how did you end up here?"
And of course. Introductions. At the cave. Again. Always. Same things happening everyday. Because this world is stupid. Well nothing much to say after the cloudy guy said everything. Cyra inspected the creature in front of her. Why does he have a pickaxe? Is he a Guardian? What as- Corrupt. No! What aspect? Did he just wake up?
Cyra sighed. "Well yeah uh hi I'm Cyra... As he just said." She glared at Skri'ik.
Liro jumps as he hears a voice behind him, he turns around at looks at them. A boy and a girl, they both look about 16, are they a couple? They look kind of friendly at least. "Hello, I am Liro, Guardian of the Ground... I think..."
Guardian of the Ground? Are Guardians just popping out of the ground today? Wow bad puns! Great job Cyra! She resisted the urge to smack her forehead again. "So you just woke up?" She asked instead.
Guardian of Ground? He still bore that indifferent expression, but he was not sure what to think. How would the relations be between Ground and Cloud? He wanted to make sure they started on a good note, at least. He caught Cyra glaring at him in the corner of his eye, so he decided to focus on Liro instead of making any more mention of Cyra.
"If you're not sure, you must be like me, and woke up recently. I have not been here for long, and as such I am trying to learn of this world."
"Well yeah I was directing the question to Liro over here but that's okay. You can answer instead."
Skri'ik is not pleased with Cyra's sudden interruption. He calmly responds "I am making an observation. If he is not entirely sure what element he is guardian of, then surely he must have not been here for long. Is this true, Liro?"
Cyra smiled. Just being the sarcastic and awesome Guardian she is. Great to know she's doing her job. Corrupt. Oh come on. Corrupt. No shhh. Just being a sarcastic asshole over here. Corrupt. She sighed silently.
"Yeah, I did wake up recently. What is this place?" He looked over to Cyra and Skri'ik and smiled.
"Well, I don't know where this cave really is, either. I woke up near here, and Cyra led me this way. She must know." Unable to resist this chance for new knowledge, he looked at Cyra, expecting an explanation.
"Er welcome to the ball of dirt with a cave and two craters. No one really knows where we are. But as you can see-" She brushed dirt off her cloak. "There's dirt everywhere!" She threw her arms into the air for dramatic effect.
"I guess I should like dirt or something? I am the Guardian of Ground after all." He looked down at the ground and scooped some dirt up, inspecting it.
"Well er there's dirt everywhere." This is getting awkward. Hoping Skri'ik has something to say, Cyra glanced at him.
Skri'ik decides to speak up, still thirsting for more knowledge that was not given earlier.
"The original reason we came to the cave was to search for Guardians that, according to Cyra, were in this cave. I think it would be best for all of us to find the people we originally came for, so we learn their purpose of being here, and where this really is."
"Right okay let's go into the cave and get lost! Unless-" Cyra turned to Liro. "-You have some sort of navigating abilities because you're the Guardian of the Ground or something?"
"Navigation..." He concentrated and looked around. "Hang on, I hear somebody walking."
"Er..." Cyra turned to Skri'ik and whispered, "Is he going crazy or am I just deaf?"
Skri'ik whispered back to Cyra "I don't hear anything. What could he possibly hear? The only noise I hear is our breathing. Maybe he just has really good hearing."
"He's going crazy! It's confirmed!" She exclaimed and smirked.
"Maybe... are you affecting him with your corruption powers? I think we should wait to see what he has to say for himself, though." He didn't know what was going on, but he would at least wait for even the barest explanation from Liro." Shri'ik whispered.
"What me? I'm not doing anything. I don't feel any corruption either," she whispered back.
Liro glared at Cyra, was that supposed to be offensive? "Maybe hearing was the wrong word to use, all I know it that somebody is near us. I guess I can hear the vibrations of footsteps or something? I'm just as confused as you are."
"So Skri'ik, do you want to follow this vibration guy?" She asked the Guardian of the Clouds.
Skri'ik is getting impatient with standing around. "Well, I really don't hear anything, and I don't think Cyra is hearing anything either. But what other choice do we have? We can either leave the cave unsatisfied, or risk exploring the cave and finding Guardians." Finding Guardians - and the knowledge Skri'ik coveted.
"Well I was asking for a 'yes' or a 'no'..."
"If you want a short answer, that would be no, I don't follow him - but we have nothing else to follow."
"So isn't that a yes if we're going in without anything to follow?"
"If you are willing to take the risks, then indeed, it is a yes."
"Well then, vibration guy, lead the way!"
Liro sighed. "Vibration guy... that's not exactly the nickname I hoped to get, Crazy lady. Alright, this way!"
"But I make the nicknames..."
The three creatures walked farther into the cave with Liro in front.
