After a moment of silence, Catcocomics finally replies to Airis
"Sorry Airis, but unless someone manages to either get me past the darkness barrier or the annihilate said barrier, I'm pretty much a semi-useless, young solar being with little experience of unarmed combat."
Catcocomics then notices a light from below, which seems to try and follow them.
"Well, I may as well tell you my plan; Once you get me above that barrier and into starlight, I'll head for the star that this planet orbits. If you head straight up, you might be able to make it there faster."

Takot's pace quickened once again. He knew he was getting close now. In the distance he made out a pale light, moving toward him. It was a person. "Hello there!" Takot called out. The young man slowed down. "My name is Takot."

[BCOLOR=#000000]Someone to slow me down. Great... "Bugger the fuck off." Light says, roughly pushing the man aside.[/BCOLOR]

"Now that's no way to treat a stranger! You never know quite what they are capable of..." Takot broke out into a smile. The young man ignored him continuing to walk in the direction he was headed. Takot sighed. "You are the Guardian of Light, correct?"

[BCOLOR=#000000]The man's smile was chilling at best. How did he know who he was? "Why the hell should I tell you?" Light asked, not daring to take his eyes off his prey, for fear of losing them.[/BCOLOR]

"Shouldn't you be the taddest bit worried about this Darkness?" Takot started to follow him, he wasn't worried about his destination, they weren't going anywhere. "I mean, can't darkness snuff out light?"

[BCOLOR=#000000]Something about the way this Takot put it made Light uneasy for a moment. "Uninterested. I got other things on my mind"[/BCOLOR]

"Well, I have things to do myself. I guess I'll just have to get going. It was nice talking with you." Takot broke into a smile again.

"Buh-bye" waved Takot and turned. Then he looked back for a moment and called over his shoulder, "Mind that last step! Its a doozy!"

He looks around, no sign of the three guardians he was just tracking down. That other weirdo has disappeared. Nothing. Just... Falling. When will he hit the floor? Will he even hit the floor? Suddenly his body comes to a complete stop on the floor. Nothing... He can't say anything. Not even move a muscle. All he can do is move his eyes around and look around. "..." Did he hear something? "... ... ..." Yeah. someone's definitely saying something. Slowly the sound comes closer until he can make out the voice. "Light!" it sounds familiar. But who is it? His head moves to the right. "Light!" there's a girl. Wearing a dress, ballet shoes, her long light-brown hair waving slowly. Most notably two big gray wings extending from her back as she calls his name. He also sees... himself? They laugh and hug each other. He pulls her close and kisses her. What a heartwarming sight... Disgusting... Why doesn't he kill her already? Just like he always does...[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=#000000]She softly starts singing something. But it slowly fades away as a soft, smooth voice recites the words he heard slightly before passing out. "Why don't you end her? Why let anyone control you that way? Don't let her change you. End her. Destroy her. Punish her for treating you this way. It's never your fault." Light screams out in his head. 'That's right... She's just controlling him. She's not worth anything. Disposable... Just kill her and be done with it...[/BCOLOR]

The Guardian of Water threw himself at me, slinging blasts of flame and water. While the water did little but bruise my fragile humanoid figure, the fire singed away the darkness I controlled around me. I thrust back with a colossal mass of dark mass, knocking him to the ground.

Seemingly unconscious, I turn away from the feeble Guardian. As I do, however, see a glowing blade of liquid fire protrude from the front of my chest, while the recovering Guardian healed himself with water. Losing mind, losing matter, I begin to sink towards the ground, my vision blacking over.

The Water Guardian's triumph is short-lived, however, as my slight form melts into the shadow that has closed around him, and be sees me assume the blackened shadow form, a living nightmare. He takes a step back, steeling his will, but I don't have time for toil. Now sporting my original power, I have many more Guardians to dispatch, and this fool with his healing factor isn't worth the effort. I reach out, my ethereal form growing and fuming, and grab the struggling Guardian, before flinging him brutally into the fiery depths of the crater.

((This is exactly how you went about with "combatting" my character; took what ever initial effect(s) were distributed [[if any]], and then do an unavoidable, instant-knockout combo move.
Not only can this style of RP combat become confusing, but this sort of attack contributes greatly to power playing.

At the very least, combat done on a RP thread like this one should be turn-based or else, done on IRC with all combatants. If done in IRC, not only do all involved have a fair amount of time to react, but, as we all know, it'll only be a single, massive post rather than 30 small ones.

((I don't exactly see how time zones alone can really make a valid excuse, considering that you could easily ask to arrange with people what the optimal time to get together and RP would be. And seeing how a lot of us [[I included]] can stay up later than usual, it shouldn't be too horribly difficult, unless of course you have plans and such.
Sure, time zones will be more valid once school rolls it's ugly little head around and eats up most of the week, but there is still the option of turn-based combat.

Guardian of Corruption​

Cyra stood up and walked in a circle. She did not really want to do anything or meet any creature at the moment. Sighing, she stood there. She could hear movement as the darkness slowly faded. In the distance, she could see Skri'ik and Liro on the ground, possibly dead. She stared that way for a while. Should she be glad? Angry? Sad? Instead, she felt nothing.

Ignoring them, she looked around to see the Guardian of Hope by himself. Where did Life go? She could also see Kysa on the ground, next to Remilia. Remilia? Cyra looked next to them. The Guardian of Water was fighting with another creature, possibly the Guardian of Darkness.

Ignoring them as well, she turned to look at the sky. Black dots clouded her vision. She lost a lot of blood. Soon the dots faded. Just then, she saw another creature approaching.

Her blood ran cold. Her heartbeat sped up. She looked at the creature wide-eyed.

No.

She killed him.

Why is he here?

It was the Guardian of Fear.

The guardian woke up with a throbbing headache and looks around. How long was he 'asleep'? Hmm. Not too long he hopes. He looks around. No sign of the flying guardians... Except. A weird line in the sky. As if a fast plane just flew there. That must be them. Speeding off. What's this feeling? It feels like. Intense energy. To run after them... And kill them. He starts running in the direction quickly. Has he ever ran this fast? He's running three-quarters of Airis' flying speed and still accelerating. Patches of dirt and mud are being flung backwards by his feet. He's now running a bit faster than Airis. Where is this energy coming from? Whatever. Time to kill three birds with one rock. Literally.
