I'm in a Room (D) but it only has, well, had 3 people since Alpha was in there. Unless someone didn't see the thread then it's just me and [person if they want to claim].
Notty's role seems a bit OP to me if they're a third party who most likely can choose to win with town or mafia since they can make a bulletproof vest every night and equip it which kinda makes them invulnerable at night to a Vig or something but lynchable during day. Probably best not to lynch today since badge is useful and the ability to hand out itemsss.
The Ltin thing I need to look over.
I don't trust Lee now for changing Tim's quote, even if it was 'to get more responses' T'is a dirty trick which I had thought of before ( can't remember ze game, the one where I was SK ithink ) but decided against.
i swear i figured out something but pm mechanics limit me
Which, besides being a reason why I partially trust Notty's claim (as said before, because a cop claim as third-party is fairly out of the ordinary, and though there's room for distrust or worry with the rest of her roleclaim, I believe the "investigative badge" can be fairly trustworthy)
...
It also leads me to believe that this game, we shouldn't simply be "killing third-parties because they're third-parties" like how it is often the case in other games, because by midnight's existence alone it hints that third-parties are not necessarily bad.
Of course that doesn't necessarily make them good either, and sure they can swing either way, but hey, what's a game without a bit of randomness to it?
And besides, why kill of a third-party which could be useful? (and I'm really only talking about Notty here because I still don't have any idea about Duffie(she claimed third-party right?), like seriously, a role claim would be nice, unless of course you have something to hide! )
Besides, simply lynching a third-party claim doesn't really do us anything in terms of progression, it just has us loose another player who, whether they support town or not (since we can never tell), they still act as a bit of a buffer. Third parties can be dangerous to either side, as well as acting as an extra person preventing a Mafia win in certain circumstances.
So I wouldn't necessarily say voting them simply because we haven't had much discussion or a lead (it was just New Years anyways, doubt we would've gotten much today). That doesn't mean we can't keep an eye out on any of the 3p claims o3o
The policy lynch is a bit weird of a decision though to bring up since it really doesn't bring us any closer to finding Mafia or get leads.

I
I was going to put the "clicked the post reply instead of more options button" here but I just did that so...
Anyways, I read back and having been mulling over a few things.
Frankly, I'm still a tad confused about the Ltin situation, mostly because the posts are a bit haphazard in terms of clear information (it's actually kind of reminiscent about how it was kind of confusing understanding Ltin when he was a mime back in Masq).
Speaking of Bloody Masquerade, at the moment, despite the trickle of information (and misinformation at times), I feel like I can somewhat believe Ltin's role, it reminds me a bit of a role back in Masq (though I can't quite find it) and because of that it gives off a bit of a sense of "GmK Mafia magic" to me. (Bad reason I know but I can't help it)
Of course this doesn't mean I'm confident in his alignment, since I'm still rather unconfident about Ltin at the moment and where such a role as "Gambler" could swing in terms of alignment. To me it seems like it could in fact be any alignment (especially considering the roles already claimed/dead).
Frankly the contradictions in some of his posts isn't really helping.

So while I was typing out my previous post, I ended up getting curious about the deaths last night:
myusername22 - Town Hider(can hide with another player to be protected from night actions, dies if hiding with a mafia) - was killed
Hunter27a1 - Town Man-Of-Information(Can either Watch a player/Track a player/Intercept messages a player receives each night) - was killed
midnightgirl24 - Third Party Independent Alignment Cop(Loses if dead at any point, wins if alive at end) - was killed
Alpha102 - Third Party Most Handsome Person In The World(has to state how sexy he is once per day, can then make a person jealous of him, wins if half alive players are jealous of him) - was killed
Franky, to me 3 of them felt somewhat obvious, or at least not necessarily surprising.
More specifically, that being: Hunter, Alpha, and Myuser. All had somewhat dubious statements or had the spotlight on them at some point in time, though iirc myuser had it less so than the other 2.
But really, I was curious at why midnight was killed.
It's not really much to go on. It was the first Day, and it's not really unexpected for deaths to be random or out of the blue because people heavily debated the previous day would normally be left for third-party or town-sided killers (at least, thats how I normally see it as a Mafia tactic).
However, despite the third-party status, since midnight was in fact a cop (and because of that I'm essentially going to be treating her as town from now on due to simplicities sake) I thought it was somewhat worth looking into...
...Might as well see if anyone seemed to know something about her (All in hypotheticals of course, since we can assume there are at least 2 killer roles since that's "usually" a norm, even if patterns is a bit bad to go off of, and we can probably assume myuser died by hiding with a Mafia, though that's still relatively unknown, but since we had 4 deaths, we can either assume 4 killers which is a tad extreme, 3 killers with myuser killed due to his ability, or 2 or less killers with possibilities of attacks being redirected or players getting hit with bombs/that type of role or items or so many other possibilities weqolherjwrhtwpiuherltjwleui. I'm just assuming she died by a killer role because why not)
...Of course this search didn't really yield anything, at least nothing that really caught my eye.
I went through most of midnights posts, and all they basically were were comments about apologizing because she was busy and would post later, and then the beef with Hunter that ended up taking a chunk of the last day.
I wanted to post that because I recall Defiant's idea of seeing who myuser may have hidden with and may have died to possibly find a possible Mafia lynch (which lead straight into the Ltin discussion which I'm not going to touch again at the moment...),
which in turn made me think that essentially, with all the deaths tonight being fairly predictable yet also unpredictable at the same time, we can possibly try and go back and see who voted who to find possible candidates or connections or what not. (of course there's WIFOM where they killed them but want to think they didnt and it was actually someone else who voted someone else or had other theories or etc etc etc etc etc, why do we even talk about wifom so much)
And that's what i'll be doing for a tad bit.
It's just an idea.
Also wanted to make a list of alive/claims/my thoughts as a possible recap of sorts/theories/whatnot to kind of get ideas together/going/whatever do I have to have a reason for doing this:
digitalmez
Nottykitten - Claimed third-party "Inventor" (creates any object... once?(iirc). Something to do with "Hercules" <-Yet to be explained
77_is_the_best
Ltin? - Claimed "Gambler" (didn't state alignment afaik). Claims to have targeted Hunter last night with "Bodyblock(dies in place of person) or "Switch"(bus driver/mime)"
Cooliorules
Jolteon42
Jivvi
endersteve5? - Investigated according to Notty's "invention," Ender is not Mafia. (also could symbolize possible Godfather role, but that could be said with any investigation)
Myuser - Town Hider (hides behind people to survive. Dies if hiding with Mafia)
Hunter - Town Information (watcher/tracker/interceptor)
Alpha - Essentially an alien. A smexy alien.
Midnightgirl - Third-party Alignment cop.
Purples are currently unknown.
So we had 24 players in total.
4 dead.
Let's make a rough guess at the population of alignments. It gives us a possible basis to start since we
Out of 24 people, I would assume with a single team of Mafia there would be probably 5 or 6 members. Since this is about the same number of players as Masquerade (yes I'm talking about Masq a lot. What can I say, it was a good game. Maybe I just have an itch to attend a Masquerade... Hopefully not one so bloody) we could also hold the possibility of multiple Mafia teams, or simply multiple teams of anything (since we don't know the theme and all besides "to be determined") so if there were I would theorize a similar setup if this were the case (essentially 4 per team if there were 2, less if there were more teams)
So around 6 mafia is my theory, making 1/4th of the playerbase.
We have essentially FOUR third-parties, 2 confirmed through death, and 2 through claims (Notty and Duffie?<-still dont know if they actually claimed 3p).
That's... quite a bit of third-parties. Normally (again, hypotheticals here), or more commonly from what I've seen there's normally not quite so many third-parties.
IIRC someone said amnesia may have something to do with that (but I have no idea how that can be talked about since we know to a degree that goes into PM mechanics so... o .o)
But, unless someone is lying, there could be theoretically a lot of third-parties this game. Actually I kind of see that going with the theme: "To Be Decided" - lots of third parties, since should any win it also doesnt end the game, they get to help "decide" who wins the game since they could theoretically be either side, like with midnights win condition of "being alive until the end of the game" which is just like Nottys (and to an extent Duffie since she claimed something like a survivor but Istilldontunderstandwhatsgoingonwithher)
So to keep it even... 6 third-parties? Possibly more if there were less Mafia than my prediction?
And then the rest town...
So 6(or less) Mafia
6(or more) third-parties
and essentially 12/13/more townies.
Because its been the holidays when this game started, not many people have really posted much so a lot of the unknowns are kind of anomalies to me. Hopefully things pick up once we get out of the season. ^-^
And yes I'm posting a lot but I feel like I'm on a role because I feel like I can FINALLY think clearly since I've been procrastinating about posting on this thread for awhile now and if I stop I'll end up getting into a rut again and forget everything's that been going on, plus I also decided to just cut everything up into segments after that misclick a few posts ago instead of one long post because why not, shake things up a little.
Anyways this will probably be my final post for now since I'll probably go back and read stuff like I said I was going to but as I was making that sort of silly theorycrafting/recap/whatever post above I noticed a bit of a contradiction in terms of Ltin which frankly just made me more confused/curious/suspicious.
Here's Ltin's roleclaim (that's touched up a little by muah):
I am the Gambler.
Each night I select one player, and two possible actions each night. One of those two actions is then used on the player. These actions are:
Kill
Roleblock
Bodyblock (as in I die if person attacked)
Switch (kinda like a bus driver or the mime role from masquerade)
Recieve any messages from the host to the player (i.e. Investigation results, etc.)
Last night I selected hunter, Bodyblock, and switch.
Nothing happened according to GmK, so I assume I was role blocked.
Bodyblock or Switch(so any night actions on the target is switched to target Ltin I would assume from the descriptions given)... strange combo, frankly. But it's also strange that with both of these... Hunter still died.
>If Bodyblock was chosen (since I guess its like a flip of a coin) Ltin should've died tonight.
>If Switch went through then... again Hunter would still be with us.
Which is why I'm confused.
I'm further confused with other (as far as I can tell) contradicting statements alongside this.
Also samlen, he would have died anyway. If there was a doc on hunter he wouldn't die, so I was simply trying to help.
If you were a failsafe yet also wanted a doc to protect hunter, which (to me anyways) feels really overboard in terms of protection. It would be hard to be a failsafe when the choices chosen (specifically that of switch) still leaves such a chance for Hunter to be killed as Sam(?) said... since if they targeted you and if Switch had the flip of the coin this time around then essentially it would've been your power that killed Hunter last night.
A bit convoluted/flawed/bad explanation but whatever, I'm tired but for some reason still trying to think.
Anyways, I also have a few questions in terms of your statements, since I feel they may clear some things up for me.
You stated this in your roleclaim:
Nothing happened according to GmK, so I assume I was role blocked.
So did GmK actually say something, explicitly saying something like "Nothing happened," or was there just no response in terms of what happened in terms of your actions that night? (since from what I know, normally unless its stuff like a cop or other role that requires a response, responses don't tend to be given o .o, unless I'm mistaken of course).
This is taken out of context somewhat but I wanted to highlight it:
From what I can tell from the full post(on page 70) I would assume its in reference to Hunter claiming to be essentially THE man of information(which I guess his role turned out to be in name and somewhat in actual action)...
...But then the thing I'm worried about is... You actually CAN kill hunter.
I mean... at least you have a possibility of having killed Hunter (or anyone else in the future)
I mean... you even stated in your role claim that one of your actions as a Gambler is that you can kill:
And frankly, I'm simply worried whether or not to believe you're an innocent town with a strange/powerful jack-of-all trades role, a third-party-hardy, or a Mafia trying to pose as a town.
I still can't help but feel this claim is still fairly muddled in controversy and unknowns.
SPEAKING OF JACK OF ALL TRADES... I was reminded of a roleclaim I completely forgot and didn't put into that recap/theorycrafting thingy I did.
Oh @Jivvvvvvvvvvvviiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii dear. This can be found back on Page 49 during Day 1.
okay so may as well claim properly
I'm a Paranoid Jack of All Trades
I asked if other people had adjectives earlier, using compulsive as an example
I have three abilities; a one-shot protect/block, a one-night-use granny ability, and the ability to impart a bleeding ability on a player (they bleed when hut before dying, not poison them)
my paranoia means that if I'm visited. I'm automatically blocked (unless I'm using my granny ability)
opening myself as a target si ltin could get hunter wouldn't have worked since the kill would have blocked me, but I wanted to try and verify his role to see if I should make him a bleeder (his abilities would remain intact). albeit if I don't bleedify him it might do my sanity some good
I was wondering if you used any of your powers last night?
I'm curious because since we don't really know the number of killing-esq roles and their distribution amoung alignments,
although I feel like there's probably 3 (with myuser hiding with a Mafia, but that's just a theory right now A Game Theory, thanks for watching... I used that one before didnt I)
I know some people think there may be 2 (I know Defiant said that) so someone could've died if that granny ability was used (that kills anyone that visits, right?)

Ah yes, I saw that something like that earlier from you already. Are you saying that you're somehow going to influence anyone that visits him [Hunter]?
He was at that moment also voting Hunter and telling the doc to keep on Hunter.
Ltin, I gotta ask here, why were you voting Hunter, if you wanted him to survive the night? Why were you telling the doc to keep on Hunter, when you were going to influence (assumingly in a negative way, since you told investigatives to keep off of him) anyone that was going to visit him? And how exactly were you going to influence them, when your roleclaim clearly says you don't have that kind of powers?
Your behaviour during the whole game is giving me pretty bad vibes, looking back. You're constantly shifting about, for example, you couldn't decide whether to like or hate Hunter during the first day (and you were switching your votes between Alpha and Hunter, as well), your posts seem rushed and they give me the feeling you're trying way too hard to be town, and they're full of contradictions, plus the fact that the above quotes make it look like you were trying to either keep Hunter from being investigated, so that he'd be an easy target the next day or get the doc killed with your "influencing", or both (heavy speculation, I know, but still). Until I get an explanation about this, I don't think I can justify any other course of action besides voting you.
Meh, now the evidence is presented Ltin does look prettyyyy shifty.
(also I made a mistake about Notty in my previous post since they cannot make 2 of the same/similar item, didn't see it in role post, so there's the permanent invulnerability goneee)
I'd like to see Ltin's defence before I (possibly) vote.
