I don't see why it couldn't just be "the Guardians series", or the GotE series for short, if you insist on having an acronym somewhere.
'The GotE series', note that this has to be a < 5-char acronym that can be displayed in a compact manner. 'The GotE series' can cause confusion, since GotE is both the first installment in the series, and now the entire series' name first. Basically just doing what a lot of companies do. And compacting 'The GotE Series' (TGS) is just compacting acronym into acronym. On the flip-side, I don't see why *otE doesn't work either, unless we get to Swimmer's point...

Well the thing with *otE is that it both sounds and looks kinda choppy and odd. I mean, for the usage, it's fine, but when you say it out loud, in your head, or write out the abbreviation, its really weird. Plus, the abbreviation itself looks kinda weird and code-y, which I'm assuming is not something preferable for the actual end look of the library
I think we have different eyes then :p Writing out the abbreviation + weird are two things I can't place in my head together. And saying it out loud:
Hm-oh-tee-ee
Just substitute the asterisk with a 'Hmm' or a 'Hnn'

So, in the end: does anyone have a 'better' abbreviation on the *otE series that's short, denotes the entire series while, without interfering with the original name?

If people complain too much we could just shift the RegEx to "[RG]otE" instead >.>

As for the 'coding' of the HTML/CSS (I wouldn't call it 'coding', really, but okay) I'd like to note I'm switching to CGI (C++, most likely. How terrible the language may be.)/ Javascript + Node.js in the future (5-6 months) so consider touching that subject slightly.

If you've got your HTML pages ready, just send me a tarball with them in it and I'll look at it, see how it works out (I might create a shared dropbox folder)

... to name a few. I don't see how that problem really is a problem. On the other hand, the asterisk was confusing to me when I first saw it. I'm with Swimmer on this one, I don't think that "hm-otE" (or [RG]otE for that matter, that's even worse, ew) is something I'd want to see.

Okay, now how do I distinguish GotE the Roleplay from GotE the series on the site?

Okay, could someone give me a version of the map of Arun that doesn't have everyone's names on it? I'm planning to put it on the introduction post.
I have this one that my mate drew:

Doesn't have the names on it, and needs serious cropping though.

UPDATE: Website's updated. Yay.

UPDATE #2: While I'm still setting up an interface for posting articles yourself, you can PM me any articles you'd like added. Currently the only way to add articles is via a Ruby script I've written on the webhost. Just PM me any Biographies, Atlas entries, History snippets, Canon, anything.

Do note I'm adding a 'generalised format' for every category later on. While you can PM me articles in any format atm, I might change the overall formatting/you might want to edit some info.

Catcocomics before I respond can we change speaking in Japanese to just a foreign/Japanese-like language?

Like instead of saying "[Japanese] text" just do the standard "::text::" for a different language idk it feels kinda odd to me putting something so directly Earth-related into the rp but I can roll with it if everyone else wants to

Also is it ok if Rowan can speak broken foreign language

I'm alright if Rowan is able to maybe understand parts of Japanese, or I would be, but as far as I've seen, he's focused his energies almost entirely on avenging his father's death.
But still, it could be possible that Rowan is good at learning new languages or has encountered descendants of the frost kingdom before.

Truth be told though, I was kind of hoping to have my character speak Japanese and then switch to common when he realizes that Ecremar people don't typically understand Japanese.

Ok, I'll modify/replace Japanese... about as soon as we stop playing as humans.

On the other hand, this could simply be the last time for an extremely long while that Katsu speaks Japanese (a simple explanation being that he understands that most other people away from home simply won't understand Japanese) and just use his native language when not speaking common.
