Did you read what I said? It's something that will happen when another players dies, not me. Although, I'll probably end up dying before the other player. Anyway, Just spread the word at my funeral.
No contradiction. You're directly mis-reading the first statement.
The first statement says that if a certain player dies I stop killing
The way it's worded implies that I might die if the other player does, but doesn't directly hint at such in anyway. The only sure thing is if the players dies I cannot kill anyone. (not sure if I'd lose my night action altogether, or If I'd die, or if I'd just be a normal doctor)

I can't directly quote the Pm to give you context, but I'll try to see if i can give you something. The part about someone dying is in it's own sentence so can't directly be tied to anything, but the sentence before says I'm really determined to keep my patients safe, for this reason I'll kill anyone who comes to the surgery door.
It sounds more of a flavor reason as to why I kill people who visit the person i'm protecting, and in fairness part of why i thought the entire message was just flavor to make the game more exciting.
I guess you could says it's my determination to keep patients safe?

yes, but things are getting to the point where I'm legitimately thinking I should stop claiming. No matter what town power role I claim I either die, or get lynched. heck, I have a better record helping the town as a fake cop than I do as a real one.

Trust only scum reads. The entire point of the game is supposed to be based on scum reads and we've become way too reliant on power roles, like cop reports as an alternative.
