Hi. Sorry for being away for so long. Also I've been forced to partake in gardening and moving around bags of manure/soil by my family+neighbors so I'm even later with this. Hunter Duffie myusername22
Anyways, I am indeed a PR (sorta? I'm pretty sure everyone is a PR in this game).
My name is Leontiy Babatyev, and I'm the town's Telegram Operator. Essentially, I'm the mailman that someone sends messages to and then I pass them out, like this guy on the right:
...Well, at least half-correct.
What I mean by that is that I'm not the actual person who's making these telegrams/graphs, all I am is the deliverer, the middle-man, etc. etc.
Someone else is on the other end of the telegraph line, and as the message comes in, I "write it down" since it's in code like all telegraphs and then I deliver it. Since I'm on the receiving end I get to read the messages. I haven't really said anything about them until now because I was hoping to catch enemy correspondence but so far everything looks like they're pointless, and I might as well come out and claim because I don't know what else my role is supposed to be used for.
N1 was the Vissarion thing, which could've been a cult thing, but after wikipedia-ing it, it doesn't seem like a bad cult like cults usually are in this game(?) Plus after the whole Jolt thing with the poem being about "The Prophet" and using a real-life person in a game where it seems like everything is made up I just assumed the intel I was getting was trying to throw us off... but then Sam died and turned out to be called... what was it? Mhedroni? or something? I'm too lazy to see what the spelling was, but that turned out to be a real group right?
Since there's a connection between what Jolt said and the telegram message I feel like they were trying to mess with us and think there's a cult and try to throw us off.
And then N2 was the "Potatoes and Molasses" message to Oog which just seemed like it was messing with him since that's what he was talking about yesterday. It doesn't look like it has any meaning to it unless there's something important about Molasses in the game(?).
And before you ask, no, I can't not send the telegrams if I recieve them, I have to.
It's my job. I need this job. It's all I have to put food on the table.

Anyways, my role doesn't do much for the current discussion, but hopefully it whittles down the field so we can figure out who actually is Mafia/answer your questions.
In on-topic discussion...
- So there's that 4-person potato inn right? It had Cat, 77, Sam, and 1 other person? First, has that other person claimed and I just missed it? And if not maybe they should claim already since everyone else outted themselves/died. Doesn't seem like theres a reason to stay hidden if everything's already out in the open.
I definitely subscribe to the theory that perhaps, since there was 1 Mafia already in it (Sam specifically) there must be at least another from the other faction, since it seems like there are 2 mafia factions in this game, so that's a possible place to look for scum. - Is it just me, or do I feel like there's a bunch, and I mean, a lot of investigative roles this time around. It's similar to what myuser said about there being a surprisingly large amount of "protective" claims. There's Notty and her "partner" whoever they are who are supposed to be cops. Tim's another cop. Ooglie sorta "investigates" but get's censored messages from whoever he investigates. Plus the watcher/trackers/etc claims that I believe erik and cat have said plus the dead ender.
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess there's a convincing lie about someones alignment in there somewhere, because it would be a bit too easy for the town to win with so many powerful abilities unless there was a crook in there somewhere. - I lean toward myuser and Ooglie as untrustworthy, 1)because Myuser sounds too much like the serial killer-doctor that Priz was in Bloody Masquerade as well as interceptor as a Mafia role and I don't feel enough has been explained/make sense for it to be pro-town. 2)Ooglie on the other hand feels like a sort of sabatoge role, and honestly I got "is he doing another bellboy claim(Bloody Masq)" vibe after claiming to be a censorer, and while it seems to be true with what cat says, it doesn't rid me of that sinking feeling that it's meant to sabotage town results. Admittedly since it seems he went after cat both nights(why would anti-town do that especially with so many more powerful roles about?) I feel Oog's more likely to be town than myuser. x)
- Admittedly i think 77 should fully claim, as I don't believe hes done so already. Hes has been largely vague with everything in attacking myuser, and I feel like that sort of hurts his argument. I kind of have forgotten what's been talked about as I have written this because of various distractions, but my feeling right now is that I don't know who to believe between myuser and 77, who seem to be against one another.
- There's a lot of people claiming to be one-shot roles, which is surprising. I don't recall games with this many one-shot roles. I'm almost certain one or two are lying about that.
i agree jkang, especially with the ooglie part, though targeting cat seems like a thing antitown would do as 1. potato and 2. the action is confirmed to work on cat

...Oh. I was talking about like how telegrams are actually received historically, nothing involving the game. Like as far as my knowledge goes, isn't the telegraph done through morse code/etc? or some kind of alphabetically system specific to that means of communication during the time period that those machines were even in use.
That's why its a 2 way system, but you need specialized people to operate, a.k.a. me.

For all we know, maybe this "Chief" is bad, and Notty is good, or it's the other way around, or maybe they're both good or both bad.
IIRC notty did say yesterday that she doesn't actually know their alignment, just that they're connected in their role. (or am I mistaken?)

2 watcher reports (unless cat turns tracker again)
1 roleblock attempt
1 chance for mastersten to use his oneshot ability free of death risk (he won't be able to die or kill others)
1 chance for nobody to succumb to potato poison
that's a lot of chances
why would anyone claim this role except to benefit the town through their death?
not lynching a virgin-type role is a waste

i still think it's a waste bc town is in the same position tomorrow, even with a slew of reports it'll still be a mess of everyone bickering. but that is the primary purpose of my role so as long as most people think it's viable w/e.
i should add that it takes effect in the following night phase, not the next any phase, so dying by kill is fine for the purposes of productivity.

Also what's your opinion on the whole ooglie thing. Somehow, cat isn't coming across as angry, which is really friggin' weird. If I got my report fucked with, especially on a night I could have caught a killer in action, I'd be pretty damn mad. How're you so calm about this?
