My mythology mixes in-between Roman and Greek, but I think the greek version was more of a personification / deity, while in Romans eyes she was the earth beneath their feet, who could take human form, and her name was Terra. I may be wrong though as my Mythology class was 2 years ago so I'm rusty. It also seems like Gaia can work as a spelling too, so thats cool! She was actually a personification of earth, though as well as a deity.
I don't think were really basing it off a certain mythology though, as Primus or Hippolyta would be an Amazon Warrior who ruled most of the amazons at the time. Dagon is a Levantine (not greek fyi) deity, but he was the deity of fertility, plants, and strong warriors. Ares is about the only greek god tbh, and he was the God of War
