I'm desperate cuz dying in mafia is no fun, I'm cop for the first time, I wanna live, and I don't wanna feel like I failed town by being lynched day 2 (and yes 'appealing to emotions' but I'm just answering the question pls)

Guys just think about it, if I'm mafia claiming to be cop and you let me live, why is that such a big deal? Is that really worth lynching the cop who COULD possibly survive through protection and manage to get more reports? If I'm still alive tomorrow with no reports, you can lynch me, since then I'm useless anyway, unless somehow I can convince you off my innocence, but can we not just give me the benefit of the doubt and unvote

- not lynch today -> presumably foggy (maybe inno) is lynched
- live tonight to 'report', possible town roleblocker wastes block on you while one of ur mafia buds carries out kill/your SK kill is blocked if ur SK
- you claim tomorrow you got a mafia report on some innocent person (possible PR who cant prove themselves) and theyre lynched, showing as inno
- repeat 2nd point except everyone knows ur scum presuming there's no vigilante
- lynched that day, wasting a lynch when we could have just done it today

But best case scenario:
- Lynch foggy, he's mafia (or inno)
- Doc protects me, blocker stops blocking me coz town, i get a report on mafia
- we lynch mafia, they're mafia
- repeat

Let's be real here.
If you're Mafia:
If you're mafia claiming to be the cop the better option is to lynch you now instead of tomorrow. Since if we don't like Oog said you're just gonna claim you got a mafia report or to be blocked again. And are we just supposted to believe that claim? Probs not and we'd lynch you tomorrow AKA we'd just have delayed a lynch on a Mafia member.
If you're cop:
And if you're a cop claiming to be cop you're either gonna die tonight or get roleblocked for the rest of the game by the Mafia roleblocker. Either way if you were a cop youd litterally never get a report for us again. So leaving you alive to 'prove yourself' does nothing for us, since it'll be the exact same scenario tomorrow where you're like 'oh but I got blocked so I have nothing for you'. And even if you do somehow not get blocked how exactly are we supposted to trust this isnt case #1 where you're Mafia trying to get someone lynched before you die.
Honestly this is just a game of do we trust your claim or not and I for one do not right now.
