if maf were given the sinner role then it's the easiest fakeclaim ever so sinner claim doesnt do much for me

not only do they know how the role works, they can't be cc'd, and they have an excuse as to why they didnt have any actions to do at night because of not making a deal/the devil denying their deal

it's as easy as a vanilla townie claim when those are in setups and in a setup with vanilla town id also expect most or all mafia to claim vanilla town

tim im not as sure he'd claim it, two maf claiming sinner back-to-back in like two consecutive posts feels unlikely since i feel like if it were me id be worried about being seen as connected to the other person too much and agreeing to claim together and claiming the same role to each other like that feels like it'd feel too close proximity/association for me to be comfortable with, even though logically it wouldnt make people any more suspicious of us being a team just because we did that i dont think and could even make us seem like less of a team if other people feel the same way i do about how thatd be an uncomfortable/unlikely thing to do as scum with a partner, but either way, to do it would just feel wrong/risky somehow to me

but that seems like a very personal/subjective opinion on that and ultimately im just projecting my own feelings onto tim and maybe he just didnt feel the same way at all and saw it as a good idea

Honestly, I didn't claim yesterday as I didn't want to get judged for attempting to make a deal with the devil. I know everybody is like oh no big scary. But in reality, what's the worst that could happen as I highly doubt I would change allegiance?

And I didn't need to claim today, I was just bored of lurking and I wanted to make a move. So screw it.

You know what, fuck it, let's claim. The reason I didn't lynch Alisha and think that she and Tim are townies is cause I am also a sinner, but unlike them, I don't think that the downsides of making a deal are gonna be an alliance swap. So I decided to throw caution to the wind and try to make a deal in order to write a fanfic and send it to another player as what else are you gonna do in a game like this?

I will say that I was contacted by a player last night who I doubt is the devil (because I straight up wooed them in an online chatroom and the devil STILL rejected my deal) but I shan't name them until they claim as I promised them I wouldn't.

Hope this explains why I was so like flippy yesterday, but something told me that Alisha and Tim are town, however, I am a little sceptical of Beta as they specifically asked for the percs which COULD have given info to the mafia/themselves.

Yeah I fully want fog out of this game - his nonsense seems to just be trying to spin chaos in the town - idk why he claimed sinner, maybe because he thought Alisha was actually going to amass a lynch for him? Either way it makes no sense, is completely detrimental to the town and based on all the other nonsense he's posted since day start I just don't buy it...

I was curious about this as well. Like as the person attempting to make the deal I was told that a deal could carry some unexpected consequences if it was accepted, so I knew I was taking a risk but no risk - no reward.

I also as I stated went for the mail option as I assumed that would be the "least threatening" option for the Devil as what could I really get across in one letter?

Does the devil have to deal with consequences? Do some requests give them less power? Is there a limit on how many deals can be made? Does the devil know WHO and WHAT the deal are?

Also I've played multiple mafia games off my face, sure it isn't beneficial and your communicative ability/judgement may be somewhat of, but you were clearly articulate and coherent enough to know what you were doing so if alcohol is your only excuse here then you're either lying or you're acknowledging intentional game throwing brooooo

By claiming I was hoping to clear up why I townread Alisha & Tim, yes there is a possibility they knew about the roles but my initial reaction was that they were town and is why I was hesitant to actually lynch either of them.

It also brought to light the fact that Alisha stated that I would be likely to make a deal with the devil BEFORE I had claimed which was the moment I became suspicious of her and the main reason I initially voted. However, when Alisha started acting strange the more votes she got it through me off and got me wondering; If she is, in fact, a player like a "mad gun woman" she could attack a player that is A LOT more valuable than me, which I didn't want to happen before night one.

I think by attempting to make a deal and being rejected is useful information as perhaps it proves that there are limitations to the devils' power and perhaps ways we can exploit their weaknesses to our advantage.

So the main thing was to give context and information as we didn't have a death in the night so we are still at the same loss of information we were, and let's be honest my role I feel is the vanilla townie of the game and therefore if I was suddenly targeted it really doesn't negatively affect the town that much.

This seems a little bit complicated, but I lowkey don't like the silent, even though if I may be considered as a one (at least I read all the pages now! :DDD), and I have a will to wait for others to speak up right now.
Got to say, that I don't like this sinners thing though... but at the same time Fog's claim seems kind of genuine.
